Gap & Old Navy Spring Sale haul

I wasn’t really planning on buying anything at the Gap – last weekend I wandered in and spied a cute t-shirt on the table I liked.  Then I found out the whole store was 40% off so I took advantage to pick up some casual stuff for the weekends.  At the store, I bought these 2 tops – this was the t-shirt that originally caught my eye:

GapBurnoutOmbreStripeTee
Burnout ombre stripe tee in “india pink” (regular $26.95, paid $16.17)

I plan to wear this with leggings or fitted capris:

GapFluidStriped
Fluid stripe hi-lo tee in “clean coal” (reg. $29.95, paid $17.97)

Can you tell that I like stripes?

I really wanted the blue version of the striped t-shirt but they didn’t have my size in store, so I went online and my size was in stock:

GapBurnoutOmbreStripeTee2
Burnout ombre stripe tee in “blue track” (reg. $26.95, paid $16.17)

The burnout stripe portion is sheer so I either have to wear a nude cami underneath or just let it all show (I do NOT rock the contrasting coloured bra + sheer top look – I wear nude bras underneath sheer tops).

Naturally, I wanted to qualify for free shipping so I ordered a couple more items from Old Navy:

GapOldNavyhoodie
Lightweight Jersey Hoodie in black (reg. $24.94, paid $16.57)

To be fair, I was in the market for a plain black hoodie – I have a grey one that I wear to death – even the boy says I wear it all the time.  I received my order and I’m very happy with my online purchases!  The hoodie is super soft and the perfect weight – this is something I’d bring with me when we go to the movies in the summertime because they crank the AC so the theatre is a meat locker!

GapOldNavyCanadaTee
Canada Graphic Scoop-Neck Tee in gray heather (reg. $14.94, paid $7.23)

I liked the retro feel of the Canada Graphic Tee design although I don’t love the cut of the t-shirt – the scoop neck is lower than I typically wear and the cut is very slim. I’ll wear this more for layering.  Overall, I’m quite happy with my purchases and the savings I got from the Spring Sale!

Have you made any clothing purchases recently?

  1. Stripes forever!! Haven’t bought any clothes lately, but I dig everything you got. Would wear it all. I have a hoodie like that ON one, but in navy, and I also wear it to death in spring/fall.

Really like the graphics on that Canada shirt.

  3. Nice haul. I’ve never been to a Old Navy shop when I was in America. I didn’t think I’d like anything but seeing this and seeing it from YouTubers buying things from Old Navy, I should’ve gone and had a look! Also, I like all the three striped tees! Loving the ombre effect too.

    1. Old Navy is hit and miss. Overall, I think they sell “disposable” clothing. Their sizing and fit are quite inconsistent too, but they’re definitely cheap thrills for kids and teens!

    1. Haha, whenever I pick up a new striped top, I always think… hmm is this similar to something I already own? Even if the answer is yes, ah well, I can never have enough striped tops! 🙂

    1. I haven’t shopped at the Gap in ages even though the majority of my casual clothes is from there. I feel like their style has changed a lot recently – I’m not sure if I like it or not yet!
