7 interesting things about me:

1. I really love the smell of pipe tobacco – it’s a sweet earthy scent that makes me want to cozy up against the owner of that pipe, but usually it’s some old man! 😉

2. I rarely match my nail polish to my toe polish – I’m usually business on the fingers and party on the toes 😛  Speaking of party, has anyone seen these Bootie Babe nail polishes?  I need at least one bottle in my life.

3. I’m terrible with directions. I still have to use the the mnemonic “Never Eat Shredded Wheat” to help orient myself.

4. I have 28 teeth – 14 up top and 14 lower. I googled “How many teeth should an adult human have” and the answer is 32.  I had a couple of “fangs” removed from the lower jaw due to overcrowding, and I think my top molars were removed when I got my wisdom teeth pulled too (go ahead, count your teeth with your tongue right now, I just did that like a sexy beast – how many teeth do you have?)

5. I do not comb my hair regularly (it’s about shoulder blade length right now).  I will sometimes run a wide tooth comb that I keep in the shower but that’s like maybe once every other month…

6. I really want to try coloured contact lenses (not those circle lenses) to change my boring dark brown eyes into something more interesting like hazel, or grey – something subtle like this:

I’ve been too chicken to try them because I’m worried I’ll damage my eyes somehow since I have no need for them.  I know they’re available in non-prescription, but I’m worried I’ll scratch my cornea or something.

7. I love the shows Food Factory and How It’s Made – I’m always amazed how not automated a lot of the manufacturing process are!  I especially love the episodes that feature sweet treats!

I won’t be nominating anyone am only nominating mirrorthelove and Infinitely Awkward for this 😉 since most of you seem to have already received this award! But, if any of you want to make a post listing 7 interesting things about yourself, I’d love to read them! 😀

* About the header image: When I first saw this award, I immediately thought of the movie “Pete’s Dragon” – apparently they’re doing a remake of it to be released next year!

  1. First and foremost, I about burst out laughing at those nail polish bottles! They are hilarious and even if the polish was awful, I’d still get the jar 😂 I find directions NSEW easy because I live on the east coast, so I just think of that, but when someone asks me right or left I sometimes have to think about which hand I write with! I find the smell of pipes and cigars comforting too! They remind me of my uncle, who used to always have a pipe, and of being on the continent where it seemed like cigar smoke was everywhere. Great post – I think facts posts are some of my favourite generally. X

    There are some young man who prefers pipe tobaccos though. Somewhere near Scott D.? 😁
    I was scrolling down after no. 2 and literally saw booties! I wonder what’s behind the concept aside from the obvious (eye catching it is!)
    Any tips for easy peasy navigation? I’m bad at that too!
    I find myself smiling to know that aside from us (sisters) you also seldom combs your hair. 😜

    1. I have no tips on navigation except to recommend that you keep your phone on you always! lol
      Hair combing is overrated – my hair isn’t any more tangled than anyone else’s, honestly!
      I have no clue why someone developed those bootie nail polishes but I guess there’s a market for everything! 😛

  3. I freaking loveeeeeeeee Food Factory! It’s so cool! Plus I have an addiction to sweets so it’s just fun to watch 🙂 Also I love the smell of pipe tobacco too. Especially in the Fall and Winter… it’s just so rustic and cozy 🙂

    1. I want to work in a food factory one day, like in my retirement gig, I’d be that sassy older lady who inspects the Skittles or something. You know what that means? Free Skittles for LIFE. Yeah! 😀

  4. I always thought dark brown eyes were beautiful and exotic! But I grew up in a household with hazel, green, and blue eyes. =P Congratulations! Just when I nominated you for this myself, oops.

  8. You are LMAO funny. I can’t believe those booty bottles. LOOOOL. I want one.

    I also love watching Food Factory. My bro and I were mesmerized by the candy cane edition they did for the holidays.

    I had 8 teeth extracted as a kid (though I’m sure a couple of them were baby teeth) and never counted how many I have now. I have big teeth and a teeny mouth, so I’m always having minor dental issues. I apparently may need another tooth extracted, too. 😦 But I have rarely ever gotten cavities, so yay for me and flossing!

    Those circle lenses are creepy as hell. Hazel colored contacts sound good, though 😀 I’ve always loved green eyes, myself. I guess we always want what we don’t have!

    1. I honestly was googling nail polishes and that photo came up – I thought it was a joke but nope! I’m just picturing them describing the shape they wanted to a glass bottle manufacturer in China. “So like, JLo or KimK shaped” LOL

      Ugh cavities! For all the candy I ate as a kid – I NEVER had a cavity until I reached adulthood. No I’m plagued by what they call “pin hole” cavities that are embedded into the crevices of my molars. They said there’s not much I can do about them because I have “groovy” teeth – it’s not flossing or anything. 😦 I’ve had 3 of them in the past 2 years! But the procedure is so quick and minor (10 mins in the chair) that the last one they asked if I even wanted to get freezing. I opted for freezing, cuz um, I don’t want to risk it. The concept of teeth and dentistry is SO weird to me.

      Yes, the holiday special of Food Factory! I loooooved that one! 😀

      1. Bahaha! Seriously, one day someone’s gonna end up with a massive supply of those booty bottles and wonder what the heck they were for.
        Ooh, the pinhole cavities kinda suck. 😦 Good thing they seem fairly easy to fix, though. I hate going to the dentist, but apparently tartar builds up quickly for me. Sigh.

  9. Bootie Babe made me laugh! I think you should try out contact lenses, you can get ones for just 7 weeks and similar. So you can see how it feels and if you’re comfortable enough. I’ve been wearing lenses for at least 3 years, not because I wanted to change colour, but because I really can’t see anything without them or glasses 😀 But I never had problems during these years, so I’m sure as long as you follow the instructions, you’ll be absolutely fine!
    You don’t comb your hair often?! I am jealous. My hair gets tangled so fast!
    (Also, I might just pretend you’ve nominated me for this and do it haha :P)

    1. Oh yes, I’ve toyed with getting the short term lenses – less commitment. I’m going to schedule an appointment with an optometrist and I’ll inquire! Good to know you haven’t experienced any issues with them.

  11. I’m totally with you on the pipe tobacco front! It’s such a soothing, cozy scent.
    Those nail polish bottles! They’re amazing! Lol! I’ve never heard of that brand but those are hilarious.
    What’s your hair texture? I generally only comb my hair in the shower (unless I’m being fancy and straightening it) because I have curly/wavy combo hair and brushing it makes it angry.
    Man, Pete’s Dragon was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I’m kind of excited that they’re doing a remake, it was a cool storyline!
