Belated birthday presents

I thought I’d post these belated birthday presents since they’re all beauty related!  Since I was away for my actual birthday in July, I received some of my presents later (not the givers’ fault!)  Here’s what I received (or purchased with the gift card that I received):

Firstly, my friend took pity on me and bought me a replacement tube of my beloved Shiseido Benefiance Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam since I mentioned that I might wean myself off this:

She’s like a drug dealer, man. (Actually, I’m more of a drug dealer since I recommended this product to her, and she loves it now too.)

Then, my work pal surprised me with a bunch of Sinful Colors nail polishes:

I had posted on Instragram when I spotted these at Dollarama (yes they cost $1.50 at our “dollar” store and yes, I realize they’re cheaper in the US. Sinful Colors retail for $2.99 here at Rexall so this is a discounted price to us!)  I showed them to her when we were browsing and she went back and bought me 17 of them – at $1.50 a pop, she spent less than $30 for all these – yippee! I can’t wait to try them (she said she didn’t know what colours to choose for me so she just grabbed ones that looked interesting).  I received:

How awesome is the shade name? I’ve worn it and it is divine.  I’ll post a more thorough review with swatches coming up.  😉

Thank you, thank you, thank you for my makeup loot, you know who you are! 😉  Aaaand that’s all I’m going to mention about my damn birthday for this year.

    Yay, you got a CT lipstick! Can't wait for your review of that shade. Isn't the packaging divine?! I think I swooned when I took it out of the box.

  4. OMG I was totally thinking… $1.50 at a $1 store!? WTF! LOL. But I guess if they charge you $3 each that is for sure a deal. It sounds like you have some great friends, and you are certainly set on polish for the next decade!

    1. I know, we totally get ripped off here, and we’re fully aware of it, lol. It’d be better if we didn’t know, but nope, we go in fully knowing that we’re suckers! 😛
      One can never truly be “set” for nail polish, c’mon do the match: 10 fingers and 10 toes, 365 days in a year x 10 years = 73,000 opportunities for colour. I ain’t got no 73,000 polishes yet! 😀

      1. OMG haha. So I was talking to a friend who’s husband is from CA. He is supposed to come back to Florida on Tuesday but we have a tropical storm hitting so we got to talking about CA and what it’s like. She says she was up there one time and drove to a friends house and just within the few hours she was at her friends house she had to shovel to get her car out of parking again. I’m assuming that’s why you take public transportation!? If it weren’t for the gun laws and the lack of Target, I’d be SOOO there! I love me some snow!

    1. Well my heart skipped a beat because they had none left in their drawer and the girl asked the manager if they had more and it turned out they had more in the stock room so she went off to get me one. PHEW!

        1. Seriously. Right after she tells me it’s their most popular shade, and then EMPTY DRAWER!!! AHHHH. There were like 7 SAs standing around and just one customer (ME) – they could have done some restocking, jeez.
