This is the first time I’m posting a wish list type of entry, but I’ve chosen to title it “Lemmings” instead. The reason for this is because most, if not all, of my wish list items have been brought to my attention due to other people’s posts about them. The meaning of “Lemmings” is from a 90’s video game whereby the little creatures would all fall off a cliff if not guided properly – they simply follow the leader. Essentially, a lemming is when other people buy something, and you have to go buy it too…
Similar to when your mother used to say, “If everyone jumps off the London bridge, would you jump off too?” In the makeup world, the answer is YES.
These were months in the making – I’ll list my current lemmings and attribute to which bloggers (and a link to the relevant post) are to “blame”… 😛

Do you have any of my wish list items? If so, tell me about them!
A very long list with good choices 😉 I particularly love the Marc Jacobs and Illamsqua polishes. I’m curious to see the first haul you’ll make at the end of this no-buy year: it’s going to be epic! 😉

I really hope that I can maintain some sort of low buy or a budget to pace myself! I know Jan 2016 will be pretty crazy with all the pent up shopping urges but… we’re actually planning a trip to JAPAN next year so you know what THAT means? All the Asian makeup!!! Ahhhh, I really got to pace myself!

Waw! That’s exciting! I would like to visit Japan some day so I’ll look forward to reading posts about your adventures there! Maybe you need to set some rules for the first months of 2016 in order not to get too crazy :p

Last time I went to Asia (Hong Kong) I had to purchase a new suitcase to bring back all the stuff I bought! I was only there for 5 days! 😋 We’re planning on 2 weeks in Japan. Not sure if it’ll be Spring or Fall time yet!

Yes… I see how two weeks might become a problem… :p

I love how you presented this! ❤ I am too disorganized with my lemmings. I should keep track better! (On the other hand, it keeps me from spending as much LOL!)
You are gonna have one hell of a shopping spree in January 😀
I am so happy that you picked up a couple of lemmings from my blog! Hahahaha! I'm sure I have a bunch lemmings from yours.
The Zoeva palette! So gorgeous. I'll have to start my lemming list from yours!

I track my lemmings on a spreadsheet (surprised?) I have to do this because 1) I will forget 2) double check I don’t already own that shade (esp nail polishes) 3) that I don’t have something really similar already
I just learned the other day that the Zoeva eye shadows are made in Italy! I thought for sure they were some Chinese made eye shadows but nope! And they’re only €17.50 which is around $26 CAD. I’m so pumped to make an order on Zoeva for both the makeup AND those brushes!
Sorry for the link fest to your blog – I’m sure you loved getting all those link back alerts lol!

Wow, I thought Zoeva was Russian or something. LOL. Clearly, I never did any research into it. Sigh, more lemmings!
And, thank you for the links! Much appreciated, in fact. 😀

Zoeva is apparently a German brand! I’m curious about where their brushes are made, although something tells me it’s likely China.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Germany! I would not have guessed. Be interesting indeed to see where they are made. Germany is known for manufacturing some quality makeup items (like pencil sharpeners and eye/lip pencils).

This posts is giving me the feels. The I wanna go buy makeup but I can’t feel! Thank you for linking to my posts, I hope you end up enjoying everything as much as I do! Granted I don’t feel like I use the Giorgio Armani corrector as much as I did back when I got it, maybe with a tan the darkness doesn’t bother me as much? I still think it’s an awesome product though! Everything else I am still wholeheartedly addicted to! And although I can’t take credit for dim light, yes it’s also so good!

Thank YOU for doing all those amazing reviews that make me want those products lol! I do really appreciate all the time and effort it takes to create a blog entry with swatches and detailed information. 🙂
That Hourglass powder better make me look AIRBRUSHED, I tell you! 😛

So many choices, so short my list. Guess I have to schedule a sit down on nail polishes with Chris someday. 😀
And the Lemmings… so what are she up to this time.;) Nah, hands down, you and your creative mind. Are you an advertising mogul or something? :))

Hahah, no I’m not but I think of weird stuff. I just have to channel it to something useful! 😛
Chris and I live in the same city! Maybe one day I will get a chance to see all of her nail polish collection. I just imagine she has a nail polish room and it is lined wall to wall with nail polishes!

Yeah, I thought so. It’ll be a delight to visit that someday. It’ll be like a Chris Wonka and the Nail Polish Factory.
They say that all the geniuses do the weird stuff. 😛

What a great list of products! Out of these, I definitely love the BECCA highlighter and everything from Colourpop is awesome! I also just bought one of the Sephore oil infusion lip gloss….I really like it! The color is much sheerer than you would think, but it feels so good on the lips!

Good to know! I’m probably going to gather a list of ColourPop items I want and then do a post first to ask for opinions – it’s such a challenge ordering online but it’s helpful to get people who have them to provide recommendations and feedback!

Your wish list is so organised and well laid out!
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is amazing! I’m on my second tube of it and can see myself buying it again and again. It’s got amazing pigmentation and it easy to blend!
The Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is a bit so-so. It looked amazing when my skin was oily, but it does cling to dry bit now that my skin has gone combination/oily. It isn’t great an oil control even though the sales lady said it was amazing for oily skin and apparently pairs better with the Nars primers.
In regards to the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour palette: GET IT!
It’s the best matte palette I have and have used it non-stop since I picked it up. It’s got amazing pigmentation and all the shades are so easy to blend.
Be weary of Dim Light because it can alter the colour of your foundation, I know it does on me. If you’re lighter than MAC NC35, check out Diffused Light since it’s a pale yellow.
Makeup Geek shadows are simply amazing for the price. Some matte shades can be hard to blend, but the shimmer shades are always smooth and buttery.
You should try Hakuhodo brushes, they’re infinitely better than MAC and Sigma and they’re at a similar price point. The J5523 is a softer, better version of the MAC 217. In fact, the J series is a great place to start if you’re going to buy some brushes!
Sorry this was so long! Makeup addiction is a real problem! 😀

Thanks sooooo much for your insights!!! I am definitely placing an order for Hakuhodo early in 2016, the challenge is that the Canadian dollar is quite weak now, so ordering in USD is quite expensive.
The Nars concealer will be the FIRST thing I pick up on Jan 1st! 😁
And the KVD palette too. I’ve honestly not heard a single bad thing about it. I do own her Ladybird palette which is all mattes and they’re impressive as well.
Good to know about Dim Light. I’m going to ask them to apply on my face to test out – I’m NC25 so it may affect me, buy I like how it’s not too shimmery because I want to use it as an all over powder. Is Diffuse Light shimmery?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Last time I swatched Diffused light, it wasn’t shimmery. It has a slight sheen to give a natural glow to the face, just like Dim Light. Definitely try them out and see which one you prefer!
If you can, you should also check out Wayne Goss brushes and Chikuhodo on Beautylish, they’re also amazing and Japanese crafted.
Can’t wait to see your haul! I love seeing haul posts!

Oh yes, I’d forgotten about Wayne Goss brushes because they were out of stock for ages! I’ll check out Chikuhodo as well – are they related to Hakuhodo?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I only have the Wayne Goss eye brushes and they’re so soft and great at blending and they don’t muddy any colours, so I can use the number 19 brush for my entire eye look!
Chikuhodo are different to Hakuhodo and they manufacture Suqqu brushes!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oooh I just looked up the Wayne Goss #19, it looks luscious! I love blending brushes. I’ll have to investigate Chikuhodo – I really don’t want to be paying Suqqu prices!
LikeLiked by 1 person
The Wayne Goss number 19 is one of the best blending brushes I’ve used!
Chikuhodo is cheaper than Suqqu, but also, like Hakuhodo, price depends on which series/range you buy from. A lot of brush fanatics love the Z-Series, but the Takumi series is also brilliant and soft.
Now I want to place an order with Beautylish, but I can’t break my ban!

It would have taken me DAYS to put together this list, references included. Major props for that. I’ve sampled the IT Cosmetics CC cream, but forgot if I liked it or not. Will need a Round 2 with that. I also have a sample of that Body Shop mask. I got an event to attend in a few weeks, so I’ll wait before trying it out in case I have some sort of reaction to it. Hopefully not.

Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on those items when you get around to trying the samples!
I worked on this list on and off for a little while – this will form the basis of my shopping list come January! 😛

I was lucky enough that Katie sent me a couple of the Milani Rose Blushes. I wanted them badly and could not find them anywhere. They’re very nice, richly pigmented, I still browse the isles of my walgreens and never see them available. Also I want everything Sharon from Beauty Isles posts, she has the stash of a lifetime! I’m jelly! Also anyone who posts/owns Charlotte Tillbury products, I want it all! 😀
