What I got for Christmas 2015

It’s fun to give and receive for gifts for Christmas! As I mentioned during blogmas, we’re pretty low-key for Christmas which also applies to gifts. I gave my SO coins from the Mint, a cookbook, a top from Roots (no socks! 😉 ), a wooden utensil set from William Sonoma, and other kitchen gadgets.  We gave his family clothes, candles, hand creams, chocolate / cookies / nuts (thank goodness for Hickory Farms!), and of course, alcohol. 😛

And here’s what I received for Christmas (thank you again for these gifts!) – sorry for all the stock photos, post-holiday laziness, ya know:

I know absolutely nothing about this brand except for the fact that it’s sold on the Shopping Channel, and that my MIL uses it. The set includes massive bottles of serums for day and night and eye – I’m intrigued.

I was SUPER psyched to receive this from my friend! My first ever P&J products – I’ll be doing a thorough review of this amazing set soon! 😀

That’s the highlight of what I received for Christmas! 🙂  We had a nice quiet Christmas (as quiet as it can be with the in-laws’ 9 month old Bengal kitten trying to get into everything).  How was your Christmas?  What did you receive?

    1. I don’t really have plans for the gift cards yet. I’m terrible with using gift cards – I actually just recently used a couple of gift cards to Winners which I’d received last Christmas and birthday! I used them to buy Christmas wrapping paper, gifts and a candle lol. So lame.
      I’m planning on using the Saje Aromabreeze tonight – will report back once I get a good few uses out of it!

    1. I really love the Tempur-Pedic ones! We have the type that has micro-clusters of memory foam so the pillow is malleable. It’s helped with my neck – with other pillows I’d often wake up with a sore neck! And it’s helped with the SO’s snoring! 😛 I will report back about the bamboo pillow!

      1. Omg! You will love it! It’s one of my favorites. I really love Diana Wynne Jone’s novels and Studio Ghibli made two of her’s into films. The first one was Castle in the Sky and the second one was Howl’s Moving Castle which is my absolute favorite. I think I might start my Christmas list early this year too.

  17. Oh wow. You got all the fun goodies! I love the Crywolf shirt! I think it’s adorable! I love Spirited Away! That movie’s a classic but my fav will always be Howl’s Moving Castle. Have you seen that one?

    1. I was surprised that I got that Bare Minerals palette since I put it on my wish list really last minute – I saw that Sephora put it on sale so I’m assuming my SIL went out that day to buy it. It’s out of stock now! I will do a review + swatches on it soon! 🙂

    1. I looked up reviews on the Elizabeth Grant stuff and people seem to really like it! I can’t wait to test it out. I hope my skin likes it and doesn’t break out! Yes, that Crywolf tshirt is amazing – it’s a local Toronto brand!

    1. I love how imaginative that movie is! And it’s so sweeping and epic – goes from her parents being turned into pigs to flying dragons and ghosts – craziness!
      I never know if people are interested in seeing presents – sometimes people take it the wrong way, but I know that personally, I like seeing them! Same with hauls! 🙂

      1. It is definitely one of those movies that perfectly conveys a feeling of magic and fantasy. It’s wonderful!
        I feel the same way about hauls and gift posts too. I just enjoy seeing what other people give and receive and it seldom feels like a showing off kind of thing to me, I generally just take it as enthusiasm over something fun and new and there’s nothing bad about that at all.

    1. I’ve been MEANING to use the Saje but soooo lazy. It’s literally putting some water in the thing with a couple drops of the fragrance oil and plugging it in, but the thought of doing that is even daunting. 😛
      The shopping started on Jan 1st. I’ve placed 2 orders online and did a hit & run at Sephora’s clearance section over the weekend. I’m plotting my visit to the Bay sometime this week. 😀 It’ll be epic.

  24. That tocca set looks amazing!:D 💖 I bet it smells nice! I would of loved to get so many great smelling things!! Those soaps and that candle ughhh 😍 you’re place is going to smell bomb all year long lol! 😊 that pillow looks very very very comfy!!! I’m a sucker for pillows lol. If only my boyfriend wouldn’t hog them all!!you seriously cannot have enough chocolate and candies!!😋 I’ve recently gotten sooooooooooooooooooooo many Mexican candies wink wink 😜😋😋😉😉😉😉those polishes look awesome I’m loving those shades. I only own 2 of the formula x nail polishes, they never seem to have nice colors at my local sephora. How are those lip balms ?? I’ve been wanting to try one but they look similar to the eos balms and I own quite a few of them. They also look super cute for decor don’t you think 😛 that bareminerals set has been calling my name !! Every time I see it I stare at it but never get it. I just love the colors and the packaging is amazing! Hope you do a review :p

      I haven’t even opened up the lip balms yet lol. I need to take pics before I wreck them! Yes they’re super cute sitting on my table haha!
      I’ll definitely review the BareMinerals set – I agree, that packaging was well thought out! I tested it at the store and the powders felt so buttery, I hope they apply as nicely onto the skin.
