As you’ve seen in yesterday’s post, I’ve been hitting up all the Winners and Marshalls within a 10km radius of my home last month. I also visited my favourite salon supply shop that sells polishes for cheap – they still had the Essie buy 4 get 2 free offer, and it was extended to the China Glaze polishes too!  And I also found someone who sells Avon so I had to get some polishes – it’s been years since I’ve bought Avon polishes (they’re great quality). So I somehow ended up with more polishes…

This Hello Kitty by OPI set includes full-size bottles of Look At My Bow! (cream pink) and Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel (fuchsia glitter) and a free Hello Kitty coin purse, I found it for $15 at Winners (the box was a bit mangled though).

I’ve been noticing the Color Club sets that used to be at Winners have been replaced by these impostors called Cosmetics Arts. Actually, they’re from the same company as Color Club – it’s just weird that the bottles themselves say Cosmetics Arts whereas the box still read Color Club. I scored this whole set for only $5 in the clearance section. But I’m annoyed that the individual bottles aren’t named! I guess I’ll have to make up names for them. 😛

Similar to the ChG Fall collection, I was so happy to get my hands on the ones from the Essie Fall collection – it was a stellar season for polishes!  And I had to get Maximillian Strasse-her because of Doves and Roses!

The Essie set and these were found in a clearance bin Shoppers. I’ve been wanting that Sally Hansen one ever since Polished and Inspired posted about it – I’ve since learned that this line is being discontinued! I’m so glad I managed to find one. The Essie set was $6 and the Essence polishes were $1 each.

These were from the Zoya Free 4 You Sale. Shipping from Zoya was speedy (a week from order date) and items arrived securely packaged. 🙂  The 4 “free” polishes cost me $31 in total, so $7.75 each, which isn’t bad at all considering Zoya polishes normally cost $12 and selection isn’t always the best in stores here.

There was a small selection – just a bunch of polishes toss into a large bowl which I had to root through (but root through, I did!)  I haven’t had the best luck with SpaRitual polishes in the past (their nudes / sheers) so I’m hoping these will work better.

This collection brought back the much sought after shade Starry Starry Night which came out in 1997 and had been commanding $100 a bottle on eBay. Unfortunately, the re-released version doesn’t really compare to the original! *SAD FACE* I’ll continue to seek out dupes which I’ve been advised by Sandra over at Finger Candy that there are a few options.

I just counted how many nail polishes were in this post: 95. 😮 So yeah… I’m going to put a pause on buying more nail polishes for now.  Holy crap I know I look like an insane person! >:D I swear it didn’t look like so many nail polishes when you get a few here and there spread out over multiple visits and orders. 😛

    1. These live in a plastic bin in my spare bedroom closet!
      Oh my makeup storage / set up is a sad, sad situation. Honestly nothing to see: they are stashed inside my closet for the most part and in drawers. I’ve got no space! Key word: compact!

      2. You know what I noticed? My nail polishes lasted a really long time when stored inside a container or a nail polish “bag/organizer” and not exposed or displayed. My polishes are still good even if I’ve had them for yearss..

  2. WOW – that’ entire Manis for a year in that haul! I think my private jet is one that’s more holo in nautral light – it might surprise you 🙂 The only ones I have here are meet me at the mirage which is gorgeous – and don’t get elfed up – which I’m still yet to try! Love the look of cabin Fever!

    1. It’s true, I honestly have all the polishes one needs for not only a year, for a lifetime!
      Good to know about My Private Jet. I couldn’t believe I found it in mixed in a bowl in that sale, for $3!
      Meet Me at the Mirage is sooo pretty in the bottle – photos don’t do it justice. Where do you find your China Glaze nail polishes in the UK?

  7. Holy sheep! I must bow to you. That is the biggest nail polish haul over 1 month I’ve ever seen!!!

    I cannot wait to see swatches of some of the ones I haven’t seen before (the Eva Gardens!) and I’m also happy to see you get a lot of my old faves, too! We’ll see how you like Meet Me Under the Stars. XD

    And thank goodness I never asked you where that OPI-selling salon is. I would be in deeeeeeeep patootie. You got some seriously great older OPIs there, esp MPJ, Cozu, and OPI Ink.

    1. Yes it’s a bit excessive… I was coming home with bags of nail polishes, lol. But who can pass up $3 OPIs? NO ONE, that’s who. 😀 Honestly those $5 OPIs had a layer of DUST on the tops of them handles, they must have been just sitting in that salon for years. Those Eva Gardens look interesting – one of them has bits of holo glitters. It’s apparently an Italian cosmetics company.

  9. Oh my goodness! I am so jealous of your polish purchases! I wish I knew of a few places nearby that sold discounted polishes. So far, I haven’t found any around here. I’ve been really into gray’s for a long time (dark, light-doesn’t matter!) So i’m interested in seeing ‘Change Your Attitude’, ‘Pelican Grey’, and ‘Recycle’ all from China Glaze coincidentally. If you end up going swatches on any of those…thank you!!

    1. Funny you should mention greys – I’ve been on a kick lately too! I’ve been toying with doing a post focusing on grey nail polishes I own. All of the ones you mentioned will certainly make the cut!
      I’ve honestly just stumbled upon these deals. Those $3 polishes – I was with a coworker walking to buy lunch and came upon that sidewalk sale and decided to investigate. And I normally don’t even walk through that part of the mall but for some reason we decided to venture there. Odd!

    1. I know, I’m crazy. Yes these were all in January! I just saw SO many good deals and pretty colours! You have an addiction to lipsticks? Well, my addiction is nail polish! I do tend to give a lot of my nail polishes away after a few wears – it’s like a nail polish library I have. My friends get to “borrow” them once I’ve tried them! 😛 I bought a few other makeup items from Avon too. To be posted soon. 😉

  12. Holy bejesus. You already own 450+ nail polishes, right? Then add an extra 95 on top of that…girl, you’re going to have to start either changing your nail polish colour every day, or wearing a different colour on every finger if you want to use them all!

    Anywho, amazing picks! My favourites (there are so many) are: Wood You Wanna, Don’t Get Elfed Up (love the name!), OPI Cosmo With a Twist, Frock n Roll, My Private Jet, Embarca-Dare-Ya, and Mauving to Manitoba. It’s too bad Starry Starry night is different from the original 😦 And YAY, your Zoya polishes came! Faye looks like a stunner. Eeee, I hope you like the formula of Save the Date! Glad you got your hands on it 🙂

    1. Yes, I’ve increased my nail polish stash by roughly 20%! 😮 I know, I know. I have a problem. 😛 Yes, there will be an end in sight to the haulage soon. I am just backlogged in my posts and I’m also waiting for some items to arrive in the mail! 😛
      Some of the polishes were bought partly due to their NAMES! Oh my gosh, I’d love to have the official title of nail polish namer! My favourite name of these is “Dim Sum Plum”! 😀 Because I like dim sum lol.
      I’m SO pleased to have gotten Save the Date. Thanks to you for bringing it to my attention to begin with. Unfortunately, I often overlook Sally Hansen even though they do have some great formula / shades.

        Dim Sum Plum is such a cute name! Nail polishes especially have the most creative names. Haha, I’ve always wanted to be the job of coming up with names for makeup and nail polish!

  16. I just cleared out my entire nail polish collection because I hadn’t used most of them for years. I’m down to about a dozen, lol. I was thinking I wanted to re-populate my collection but honestly I paint my nails so infrequently these days. There are so pretty to look at – like jewels clanking together. Hehe.

  20. Holy polish haul, Batman! That Anna Sui bottle is too cute. I bought the Essie Birthday Suit since it was released on my birth year. Just a quick skim of this turned into a good few minutes of oogling colors. I’m gonna have to go through this post again!

I was thinking of only getting 4 out of the 6 but since that salon supply place was running buy 4 get 2 free, I decided to just get the whole collection. I had to review my own post to decide which polish to apply for this week! Sally Hansen Save the Date won out! 🙂

    1. Aww if you lived close I’d totally share them with you! My nail polish collection is sometimes like a nail polish library – I loan them out to friends a lot (unless it’s a limited edition colour and then I guard them with my LIFE!)
      I keep mine in clear plastic storage bins like this:

      I think they’re meant for shoes – they stack and live inside my spare bedroom closet!

    1. I did visit a bunch of different locations quite frequently in January so that’s likely why. Some locations had NOTHING but others were amazing (like I would walk out with 6 China Glazes!). It’s a bit of luck for sure. 😀

  24. I keep thinking that I’m over duochromes but I’m so not. There are a few duos that you picked up that look so cool!
    I’m interested to see swatches/reviews of the Zoya polishes that you picked up as well. We recently got an Ulta near me so I’m feeling a Zoya haul coming on 🙂

I’ve seen sooooo many people on instagram having this as a mani and omgoshhhhh it’s beautiful!😍😍😍I can’t believe you got that many lol!!!!! Woah! The possibilities of Manis are endless lol! Have you seen the dose of colors new liquid lipstick in cork?? Well that opi polish forgot the shade name lol something burger 😛 well it looks just like it!     1. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like that OPI Starry-Eyed for Dear Daniel but you’re right, the swatches look super pretty. I’m thinking of doing that one for Valentine’s Day mani! 😀

    1. I only paint my nails once a week USUALLY! However, I’m thinking I need to paint them more frequently to make use of all the ones I got this year. Also, don’t forget that I don’t match my mani to my pedi – there are some shades I purchase solely to be used on my toes (the bright ones!)
