PSA: BBW Waikiki Beach Coconut is available again!

I might be the only person who is this excited to see the re-release of the Bath & Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut scent again so this post might have 1 like and a few scoffs, but YAY, I thought this scent was never to be seen again (as BBW is wont to do). This perfume made my Top 15 Discoveries of 2015!

The scent is described as: A fresh, beachy blend of coconut, pink passionflower & saltwater breeze.

The notes are listed as:
Top Notes: Beach Coconut, Oahu Dragonfruit, Saltwater Breeze, Coral Berry
Mid Notes: Fresh Bamboo, Pink Passionflower, Sun Kissed Plumeria, Coconut Jasmine
Dry Notes: Coconut Milk, Sun Bleached Woods, Forest Sandalwood
On Fragrantica, the key notes are shown as coconut, sea notes and bamboo – and I have to concur. As fivezero stated, it smells like delicious vacation in a bottle! 😀

I noted that this time around, BBW has offered the Waikiki Beach Coconut scent in not only body products, but also in home fragrances including candles and Wallflower oil. And there’s now a lip gloss!!! Sadly, I do not see the actual eau de toilette perfume listed. I do have to say that the body mist is quite good so it’s not a bad option – the scent lingers all day when I use just the body mist. You can bet your behind that I’ll be grabbing the lip gloss and all of the home fragrance items – I hope the scent translates well in those products. 😀

    1. Yay! I’ve never liked any BBW perfumes before this. But this one is SO good. I don’t know what it is but they knocked it out of the park with this one. I asked at the store and they expanded this line quite a bit which means it probably sold very well. But sadly, they did not release a hand soap in this scent!
      Are there any other BBW scents you love?

      1. The hand soaps are so good! I bought a few around Christmas time and I didn’t realize how much I loved them. Peach Bellini has been my fave scent but I believe they switched up the name and scent which is horrible now. Sweet Pea is my favourite as well and Warm Vanilla Sugar! Marshmallow fireside for the candles and wallflowers have been an obsession as of late….I stocked up so much at Christmas time as well haha

        1. My SO LOVES Peach Bellini! I asked him to sniff the Waikiki Beach Coconut body mist last night and he said, it’s nice but not as nice as the peach one, lol. We’re currently burning the Peach Bellini candle that’s a few years old, I hope the new scent isn’t bad! I hate it when they change things but call it the same name – we’re not dumb! I like Marshmallow Fireside too – so cozy!

          1. It just smells off…like something isn’t right! I am doing the same thing…I have had the Peach Bellini for a bit now and I can’t let it completely burn away haha. We know when things change especially when we are obsessed with it!

    2. I was also excited to have this scent return for another season. Although, am I mistaken or has the formula changed? The packaging has updated and I noticed that the scent is different as well. Even my co-workers who always rave on how I smell have commented that I must be using a different scent….so disappointing

      1. I haven’t purchased any body products from this year’s version – only home fragrances and they smell ok. I mean, they smell a little ‘off’ but I chalked it up to the interpretation of the scent from lotion and body spritzes to candles and wallflowers. Maybe they did tinker with the scent! How disappointing for sure! You’ve got me curious now – they have their semi-annual clearance sale on right now, I’ll see if I can find some Waikiki Beach Coconut body stuff to test out.

    1. Yeah it disappeared through the winter… so happy it’s back! It was new in 2015 so I thought it was a one time thing and never to be seen again. It must have sold very well for them to expand the line to home fragrances too! 😀

  12. Ahh that’s wonderful! 😀 How could they discontinue such a pretty tropical scent, anyway? Thanks again for introducing me to it!

    I was in B&BW just last week! Saw the candles and was sorely tempted. Might go back later. I am always so overwhelmed going into B&BW, and feel that I can’t smell each scent properly (everything smells so strongly in there). FWP.

  14. I wish I would have caught up on blog reading before I was at B&BW yesterday. I was on the hunt for a new candle for spring and the one I chose while smelling so nice in the store has me so disappointed when it’s lit. I liked the Waikiki Beach Coconut one too so I may have to go back for it!

  16. I think I smelled this at a bbw when I was in Austin! I was in to get some wallflowers and I stumbled upon their sale section and I THINK this product was there… I smelled it and I loved it. I actually had it in my hand while I browsed the store but ended up only getting the wall flowers ! I think I need to purchase it cause if this is the one I smelled it would be perfection for summer !!😍

    1. Yes, it’s the quintessential summer scent – although I’ve personally been rocking it all winter long. I don’t care! 😛 They do have several coconut-y fragrances at the moment but this one is the best! 😀
