Sephora Kiss Me Balm

I was planning to get this post up for Easter but obviously that didn’t happen. I was trying to tie this product in with an Easter theme because it’s egg shaped:

Weak, I know! 😛

I received the Super Kisses set for Christmas in my stocking. The set itself is no longer available, but 2 of the 3 shades are still available individually.

The Sephora Kiss Me Balms aren’t a new product, I first learned about them in late 2014 through a video from Emily Noel – besides being like eos balms, she mentioned the smell and the tint – I was intrigued! So I put this on my Christmas wish list for the in-laws. My MIL always requests a wish list from me and she chooses items off there to buy for me. It’s a win-win situation! 😉

The set comes with 3 flavours / colours (L to R):
• Cotton Candy – cool pink (permanent)
• Soda Pop – deep plum (permanent)
• Fruit Rouge – rosey red

You’d think these would be really sheer, right? Bam:

They pack a punch!  But it’s the scent of these that get me! The Soda Pop is just like cherry cola!!! I love anything cherry cola scented! 😀 The colour is also a fabulous plummy hue. The Fruit Rouge smell reminds me of Tahitian Treat (which is now banned in Canada due to the red dye!) – there’s a slight sweet taste to all of them. My least favourite is Cotton Candy because it has shimmer in it, and the shade is a touch too milky cool toned for my liking.  Formula-wise, they’re quite hydrating and wear off nicely and do leave a trace of a stain behind.

There’s quite a bit of product in these spheres, at 5.8g each, but it’s still slightly less than eos’ lip balms which contain 7g. And just like the EOS lip balms, they’re bulky – but at least they’re easy to find in the purse.

I highly recommend the Soda Pop flavour out of these 3 from the set. At $8 a pop, they’re an inexpensive treat! 🙂

These are made in China and sold exclusively at Sephora stores and online.

Have you tried the Sephora Kiss Me Balms? What’s your current favourite tinted lip balm?

    1. Aw thanks for not mocking me, lol! Easter was way too early this year. Plus, we had doggy sitting duties and I’ve been preoccupied. She’s gone home now so back to swatching! I’m wearing Soda Pop today! YUM.

    1. I don’t like the shimmer in Cotton Candy. I think I’ve just figured it out – you like all the stuff I don’t like! It would be a match made in heaven – I just give you all the stuff I don’t use! 😆
The tips get more rounded but just like the eos balms, they still apply fine!

  1. All such pretty shades..even cotton candy even though it probably wouldn’t suit me.
I’m wearing the EOS balm you got me today 🙂
I have to ask…is there a reason why they are dome shaped? Like you said – it’s super easy to find because it’s bulky but I can’t think of any other reason they would be this shape.

    1. Honestly? There’s no REAL functional reason why they’re spherical! Just a point of differentiation? There’s absolutely nothing about the domed shape that makes them apply easier or better. But good on whoever came up with this idea because the CUTENESS made us all want them! 😉

  2. These are super cute! I’m always looking for a lip balm to keep in my purse that packs a bit of a colour-punch so I think I’m going to have to add one of the lip balms from this line to my next Sephora order! 🙂
