Project Pan 12 Collab: The END

What an epic journey! When I first agreed to do Project Pan, I thought it was going to be FUN. Oh how wrong I was. This is the song that went through my head (sang to the tune of “The Song That Never Ends“):

This is the Collab that never ends
It just goes on and on my friends
I agree to doing it, not knowing what it was
And I’m wearing the same makeup for 3 months because…
{repeat from top}

😆 I’m teasing. I did enjoy doing Project Pan, especially doing it alongside my collab buddies! 😀

And I’m really proud of myself for sticking to these products and diligently using them 5 out of 7 days, at minimum.

I’ll do a similar closure to this project as my last one; I’ll give a rating to each and then estimate the likelihood of me actually finishing each product before I toss them out:

Week 1: Sephora Jumbo Liner in Brown

The length of this pencil was 10.5cm at the start, and I sharpened it 4 times during the 12 weeks and the length ended at 8.4cm.
Stash worthiness: 9/10
Likelihood of finishing: 75%

Week 7: Lancôme Khol in Love eye liner in Chocolate Affair
Starting weight: 0.009 Ending weight: 0.006 (I think? The scale refused to show a weight when I tried to photograph it so the last known reading was at 0.006)
The length of this pencil was 9.8cm at the start, and I sharpened it 3 times during the 12 weeks and the length ended at 7.2cm
Stash worthiness: 8/10
Likelihood of finishing: 0%
There’s no chance I’ll use this up because I’m tossing it since the pencil is dried out and loose from the wooden casing.

Notes:
• I achieved a huge accomplishment: I actually HIT PAN on an eye shadow! It’s so silly, yes I know. But it’s not! 😛
• Only 1 item will be tossed at the conclusion of Project Pan – the Lancôme eye liner
project_pan_2016_end_5
• The item that showed the most significant weight loss / usage was TBS Fresh Nude foundation at -0.036  Just look at the bottle – woohoo!
• And let’s be real, I’ll likely never ever hit pan on the blush, the contour or the highlighting powders! 😉

    1. It’s kind of insane. Just goes to show how little makeup is used each time! Today’s the LAST day I’m wearing all these. I don’t even want to LOOK at them for again for at least a couple of weeks! 😛

  1. Congratulations on getting through the entire project! I bet you can’t wait to start using different things now!! It goes to show that makeup can last a very long time!!

  2. I swear when you don’t want to finish a product, it goes fast. When you use it daily like you have it never goes down haha. Enjoyed it. You’re free of wearing the same makeup in time for Christmas☺ x

    1. I think you’re right! Things you love and probably discontinued, they just disappear! It’s the same idea when you’ve got money and you want to shop but there’s nothing to buy! 😆 Thanks for following along! 🙂

  3. Congrats on getting released out of jail! haha. Job well done on your Project Pan. Hitting pan on an eyeshadow is serious business – it’s a great accomplishment, lol!

It’s crazy how some of these products did not even budge in weight even though you used them for 12 weeks straight. Makes you really think whether you need to own 10 highlighter…

    1. I know! And actually, doing this Project pan convinced me that I did NOT need to buy a back up of that Shiseido highlighter (because I was all set to since learning it was discontinued). Can you even imagine using the same makeup for 3 months? I was living a makeup addict’s nightmare… 😆 #dramallama

      1. The last time I used the same makeup for X months straight was when I first started wearing a full face of makeup. Owned one eyeshadow, one blush, one foundation, etc. etc. for like a year, until I started branching out. So it’s been a while! Would you do it again next year?

        1. Me too. For ages I had just ONE eye shadow. I still remember it – Revlon LavenDare. It was a purply grey colour and I slapped that on with the sponge applicator that it came with. No blushes, no blending! 😆
And I had one blush – from MAC. That is the only blush I ever hit pan on and used completely up! 😮 Shocker.
I’m toying with joining in something next year – Ingrid wants to do a 4 month long one but I just can’t commit to that long. We’ll see.

          1. Whoa, round of applause for you! I’ve hit pan on and completely used up 3 eye shadows in my life, but I have never been able to use up a blush, ever.
Yes, I remember Ingrid saying that she wants to do a 4 month long one…that would be hard!

  4. I can’t stop laughing at your song!😄 Project Pan are fun when you know right away you will 100% finish the products (Deluxe samples, skincare, foundations or Perfume Rollerball are the best ) …

    1. Yay, I’m free! I’m looking forward to seeing your summary post on Monday! 😀

And nope, I did not manage to finish anything! Not a single one. 😦 But I will be tossing out that Lancome eyeliner since it’s dried out. That’s something, right?

    1. The Body Shop foundation is good for normal to dry skin. I really like the finish – very natural.
I guess I don’t apply a LOT of lipstick. I put it on first thing in the morning and then maybe once or twice touch up during the day. I never understand how people can finish a lipstick completely!
