Today’s entry was prompted by THIS post from fivezero, showing the new Deborah Lippmann Fall 2015 collection called “Undressed”, which caused my face to go like this:
Just look at this range of neutral gorgeousness:
When I regained both consciousness and my sanity, I told myself, “Get a grip! You’ve got tons of nudes in your collection!” And my self-talk was right, because not only do I have a lot of nude / neutral polishes, I’ve got a lot of them from Ms. Deborah Lippmann herself! Behold:
From left to right (descriptions from DL’s site):
Prelude to a Kiss – sheer misty pink (sheer)
Naked – clean bare beige (sheer)
Modern Love – modern classic mauve (crème)
No More Drama – sultry gold caramel (subtle shimmer)
Fashion – not-so-typical taupe (crème)
Waking Up In Vegas – putty-liscious gray (crème)
All of these colours are still readily available except for Waking Up In Vegas – which coincidentally is my favourite formula out of all of the DL that I own – it’s perfection in 1 coat.
So my DL neutral polishes kind of create a collection on their own:
Yeah seriously, I do NOT need that “Undressed” set! My No-Buy game is strong, booyah! 😀
(Although, I do have to say that I still have the following DL on my wish list: P.Y.T., Love in the Dunes, Dessert Moon, She Wolf, and Whatever Lola Wants)

Yes I have noticed all my makeup is in very similar shades. I guess I know what works for me and I don’t experiment much with other colours if they are trendy or having a moment.

Teehee, I love greiges and will never ever deviate from them! Yes, I think as we know ourselves better, we stick with what works for us – nothing wrong with that! I’m like that with clothes too.

When I realized that I have something similar, this goes in my head (LaLaLaLaLaLaLa!!!!!!!!). The more I know you (your collection) the more I understand the No-Buy 😜

Haha! I really try to not pay attention but it’s difficult. My stash really is out of control… I’m doing a big purge, just you wait and see! (PS. And I have more Deborah Lippmann polishes, they’re just not neutrals!) 😁

Waking up in Vegas and No more drama – are my favourites from this! I do this all the time by the way, see something and start going crazy until I really think about it and realise that I have something pretty close! haha

Waking up in Vegas looks soooo nice. I always wanted a nice light gray but even that gray looks good.

True light greys are hard to find – they always end up leaning blue-toned. I posted a pic of me wearing Waking Up in Vegas with a hologram top coat on Instagram!
