Here’s the 2nd part of my slacker Trash Stash:
Bath products are fun to photograph since they’re more colourful. 🙂
Trash Stash: August to October-ish 2017: Part 2 (Body and Hair Care, Makeup)

Here’s the 2nd part of my slacker Trash Stash:
Bath products are fun to photograph since they’re more colourful. 🙂
I hadn’t planned on being MIA last week but it was my final week at my old job and it was so busy! I ended up having a lot of social engagements last week (goodbyes) – being out every night makes it difficult to blog! Things likely won’t settle down until after Labour Day weekend…
This post is a combined June and July accountability (I know, I’m so late with this!) June was a No-Buy month whereas July is a Low-Buy month. My budget for July was originally $200 but since I slightly overspent back in April, I had to subtract off $1.70 from my budget, leaving me with $198.30 to play with.
I was able to stretch my budget by supplementing with gift cards – plus, I received some birthday presents! 😀
And here’s part 2 of my June and July Trash Stash:
This is the balance of what I used up in the past couple of months and includes body and hair care, plus makeup!
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had enough empty containers to redeem for a free face mask and solicited recommendations from you. Thanks for all the suggestions! 🙂 I finally got around to a LUSH store – here’s what I walked out with:
I ended up more than I originally planned, but what else is new? 🙄
The subtitle to this post is “What I thought on stuff I bought: LUSH edition”, since I’ll be showing you the empties that I’ll be bringing back to LUSH with quickie reviews on them. And then I need your help in choosing what mask to redeem for!
I actually have 6 empty pots and I’m not 100% sure if those clear pots qualify since on LUSH’s site it states: “Bring back 5 empty, clean black LUSH pots…” 😳
It’s the magical month known as Hauluary when I have no holds barred on shopping! I hauled so much in the past few weeks that I decided to divide my haulage into 3 posts: body care, makeup and nail polish. 😛 Today I’ll tackle the body care stuff:
It didn’t help that the Bath & Body Works store near my work was closing down so they put almost the whole store on 75% off clearance. 😳
This year I decided to do quarterly favourites so I’ve had lists for early 2016 (covering January to March) and mid-year (covering April to June), and now I’m showing my third quarterly favourites to cover July to September:
It’s mostly Summery products but a little bit of Autumn is creeping in… yes, I’m a bit late in posting this – it should have been up early October. 😳
It’s a holiday here today. It’s just called a Civic Holiday but the meaning varies depending where you live in Canada. In BC, it’s called British Columbia Day, in Alberta it’s called Heritage Day… very specifically, in the city of Toronto, it’s Simcoe Day. Simcoe Day is named after John Graves Simcoe, who founded the town of York, Upper Canada, which became Toronto. He was also the first lieutenant governor of the province. Now you know! 😉
Onward to the July Trash Stash:
I’d call this month a pretty average month in terms of using things up, except for ONE epic empty that I’ve been working away at for YEARS.
This post is sooooo late. I posted about the Body Shop Flash Sale back on May 11th – it was a one day sale for 50% off on makeup. I bought the makeup items that same day but didn’t get around to posting it until now… only 6 weeks later! 😛 Last week I also got 2 more items as they were having 50% sale on clearance items. So in total, these are my recent Body Shop purchases:
Yup, more nail polishes, what else is new? 😆 More details on what I got…
By now you know it’s not good news if you see a product come up for review this week…
I bought the LUSH Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie in my LUSH haul back in March.
