I had another post planned for today but haven’t had time to finish it… so this is an unplanned “bonus” post. Why not do a tag for old times’ sake? 😉

Even though I decided to do a shortened Blogmas this year, I was quite challenged as to what topics to write about, since last year’s Blogmas pretty much covered all the major Christmassy topics like Christmas music, movies, gift ideas, etc. So I was excited when I spotted this tag on The Life of Kristyn blog. 😀 Problem solved! Well, for one day at least…
1. Have you been naughty or nice this year with your skincare routine?
I’ve been NICE! I always wash my face before bed (ahem, A!). I wear sunscreen. I exfoliate.
I even did IPL this year. So I’ve been GOOD! 😀
I saw this on Chanelle’s blog and I thought it was such a great idea that I decided to give it a whirl! This is quite a departure for me since it’s mostly non-beauty related discussion… here’s a glimpse into my everyday life. 🙂
Mon Aug 1 – Civic Holiday so a day off from work! I met with my friend from Newfoundland for lunch.
Tues Aug 2 – attended a MUJI open house event and got some stationery loot to play with! 😀
Wed Aug 3 – I had 5 meetings that spanned 7 hours, leaving me with 1 hour to do actual work – but the Happiness Highlight is that I got to eat my sushi lunch during a conference call.
Thurs Aug 4 – I got to pet 2 puppies in 2 separate puppy encounters. One was a French Bulldog, and the other was a poodle type and both tried to play with me by nipping at my hand with their sharp little teeth! 😛
Fri Aug 5 – went to MAC over lunch with coworker and she treated me to some eye shadows!
Sat Aug 6 – watched the new Jason Bourne movie, which was enjoyable (although the first one is still the best).
Sun Aug 7 – met up with Cat (my PLC!) to do Back to MAC! ❤

1) What camera do you use?
99% of the time, I use a point and shoot: Canon Powershot SX610
The 1% I will use my phone which is iPhone 5S (as evident in the Japan Makeup Shopping post for the in-store displays).
After a week of negative reviews, I thought for today I’d post something positive! 😉

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
Yes. Although the root of Easter is a religious holiday (and some would argue even more significant than Christmas), I feel it’s such a cultural / commercialized holiday, most people seem to “celebrate” Easter simply by stuffing themselves full of chocolate. 😛

Hoarder. Stash Hoarder Matters is my name, don’t wear it out! 😛
What was your favorite subject in school?
In high school I really loved Industrial Arts or erm it used to be called “Shop” class. I made a wooden bowl on the lathe, and a wooden piggy bank. It was an awesome class!
What is your favorite drink?

I’ve answered this before elsewhere so I’ll name another one I like: Jack fruit shake. I get this from our local Vietnamese restaurant and it is so refreshing. It tastes kind of like Neapolitan ice cream but lighter.
What is your favorite song at the moment?
I’ve had “Follow You Follow Me” in my head for a few weeks ever since I saw the animated short “Lily & the Snowman” from Cineplex!

1. What is your go-to fall color?
Grey. I just LOVE all shades of grey. I will wear head to toe grey – charcoal pants with a dove coloured top! I don’t have grey shoes – what’s up with that.
Here’s a Tag that I saw on Katie of Plus Beauty‘s blog ages ago! (I miss Katie, anyone else? I saw on IG that her move went well – I’m so happy for her!)
1. Do you remember your first makeup item?
It was a frosty pink sticky lip gloss from Avon. It was terrible but so awesome at the same time! I wasn’t allowed to wear a stitch of makeup until I was in high school (around 14) and even then, it was only lip gloss.
Sunny side up lipgloss from Avon (Source) This isn’t what I had but isn’t this awesome? I’d totally buy that.
I saw this on Chic and Polished so I had to do it too!
Blush or Bronzer: Blush, I just love blush and apply it 99% of the time, whereas I wear bronzer maybe once a month.
Lipgloss or Lipstick: More lipstick nowadays but still more of a balm gal
Eyeliner or Mascara: Mascara, I can survive without liner
Foundation or Concealer: Concealer is just a more concentrated form of foundation so I can use concealer to cover just the areas that need it
Neutral or Colour Eyeshadow: Give me neutral or give me death!
Pressed or Loose eye shadows: Pressed, nobody’s got time for loose
Brushes or Sponges: Brushes although sponges are good for patting on colour for a more intense application
