AliExpress Brush Dupes: MAC Oval 6

I bought a bunch of brushes off AliExpress on January 30th and have been patiently waiting for them to be delivered for the past couple of months.  Finally, the packages started trickling in mid-March and I received my final parcel last week.  Here is the Real Techniques Bold Metals set:

And here are the “dupes” next to the real thing:

Overall? I’m REALLY impressed with what I received! 😀  Today I’ll review and compare the MAC Oval 6 brush dupe.

Sephora Kiss Me Balm

I was planning to get this post up for Easter but obviously that didn’t happen. I was trying to tie this product in with an Easter theme because it’s egg shaped:

Weak, I know! 😛

I received the Super Kisses set for Christmas in my stocking. The set itself is no longer available, but 2 of the 3 shades are still available individually.

Reblogging: March Favourites And Empties

This is the most unique favourites / empties post I’ve ever seen!

Also check out her January & February favourites post, where she started doing the illustrated format. What talent!

Chit Chat Tuesday: Returning Makeup

I’m going to start a new series of sorts – it won’t be every Tuesday but there are some beauty related topics that I think would be interesting as a more conversational post, rather than have me yammer on. 😛

Today I’d like to discuss the controversial topic of returning makeup / beauty products.

The Easter Tag

This isn’t anything official – I pulled these questions from several blogs and YouTube videos and chose the questions I like best!

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
Yes. Although the root of Easter is a religious holiday (and some would argue even more significant than Christmas), I feel it’s such a cultural / commercialized holiday, most people seem to “celebrate” Easter simply by stuffing themselves full of chocolate. 😛

2. What is your favorite thing about Easter?
The chocolate! 😀

Transitioning from Antiperspirant to Deodorant: Saje Peaceful Warrior Deodorant

This is the second part of a three part series, to follow my journey of transitioning from antiperspirants to deodorants.  My first attempt with deodorants was with Consonant Skincare Dealkalizing Deodorant, which wasn’t too successful.  I made the switched to the Saje Peaceful Warrior Deodorant and have been using it for the past month:
deodorants_saje2
Saje is a Canadian wellness brand that I’ve recently discovered – I reviewed their aromaBreeze nebulizer not long ago – they have some great gems at very reasonable prices. This product is available at their stores or online, at $12.95 for 100ml.

Today’s Project Focus 10 review is not makeup, but something to help remove makeup; the Muji Cut Cotton Ecru:

This is my most used Project Focus 10 item – I’ve been using it nightly to remove my eye makeup since starting this series.

25 Facts Aboot Me Tag

Something different today instead of a review – I haven’t done a Tag in ages. I saw this on The Makeup Case and had to do my own spin on it. 😉

What is your middle name?
Hoarder. Stash Hoarder Matters is my name, don’t wear it out! 😛

What was your favorite subject in school?
In high school I really loved Industrial Arts or erm it used to be called “Shop” class. I made a wooden bowl on the lathe, and a wooden piggy bank. It was an awesome class!

What is your favorite drink?

I’ve answered this before elsewhere so I’ll name another one I like: Jack fruit shake. I get this from our local Vietnamese restaurant and it is so refreshing. It tastes kind of like Neapolitan ice cream but lighter.

What is your favorite song at the moment?
I’ve had “Follow You Follow Me” in my head for a few weeks ever since I saw the animated short “Lily & the Snowman” from Cineplex!

*Is someone cutting onions?* 😕
