I felt like I did less shopping and browsing in March just simply due to being busier… but now listing everything out, I did in fact, do a lot of shopping! 😳

PSA: BBW Waikiki Beach Coconut is available again!

I might be the only person who is this excited to see the re-release of the Bath & Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut scent again so this post might have 1 like and a few scoffs, but YAY, I thought this scent was never to be seen again (as BBW is wont to do). This perfume made my Top 15 Discoveries of 2015!

A Newbie LUSH Haul

I’m a total LUSH noob. I’ve gone into that stores only a handful of times and have owned just a few items.  I want to venture more into the brand but I’m usually too overwhelmed by the crowds, the smells, and the selection in there – so normally I walk around in a circle and back out the door. But, I have a friend who worked at LUSH so I picked her brain to help me choose some items, and this is what I ended up with:

What I got for Christmas 2015

It’s fun to give and receive for gifts for Christmas! As I mentioned during blogmas, we’re pretty low-key for Christmas which also applies to gifts. I gave my SO coins from the Mint, a cookbook, a top from Roots (no socks! 😉 ), a wooden utensil set from William Sonoma, and other kitchen gadgets.  We gave his family clothes, candles, hand creams, chocolate / cookies / nuts (thank goodness for Hickory Farms!), and of course, alcohol. 😛

And here’s what I received for Christmas (thank you again for these gifts!) – sorry for all the stock photos, post-holiday laziness, ya know:

Tokyo Milk Wisdom No 26 perfume

Happy Black Friday!  I may or may not be out trying to nab a deal on winter boots. I haven’t decided if I’ll brave the crowds.  I might just order online. 😛

Today I’m reviewing Tokyo Milk Wisdom No 26 perfume.  I’ve heard a lot about Tokyo Milk fragrances – how niche and unique they are; the official name of the company is Tokyo Milk Parfumarie Curiosite, for heaven’s sake.  But, I feel like it’s a very carefully manufactured brand image, not as indie or novel as they’d like us to think.

I bought the eau de parfum of Wisdom No 26 purely by chance: last year at around this time in November I was killing time in a little gifty shop – you know the kind, lots of trinkets adorned with whatever is the latest trend – be it owls, foxes, pandas; necklaces with lightning bolt / mushroom / wishbone pendants, and a section of cutely packaged hand creams and perfumes at greatly marked-up prices.  They were having a 50% off sale on select fragrances, and Wisdom No 26 was among the offering.  I snagged this for only $13.50.  I initially bought it as a back-up present – just in case someone gave me a Christmas present who I wasn’t expecting to receive a gift from, I’d have something to give them back (do you do this – keep spares?)  But in the end, it wasn’t needed and the perfume sat in my stash unopened.  So I decided to open it and keep it for myself! 😉

Back to school: Teen pack

I know you’re saying, HOLD UP, it’s not Back to School time yet, it’s only the beginning of August.  And you would be right.  But you would also be wrong.  Have you been in the mall lately?  Summer clearances galore, and Back to School merchandise are making the annual creep… and it gets me SO excited!  No, I’m not excited for kids going back to school – I couldn’t care less – I’m excited for the Back to School merchandise.

This is something you probably don’t know about me, but every year without fail, I buy a Back to School beauty pack from the drugstore.  I’m not even the intended customer for these packs, but I can’t be the only non-teen-aged person to buy these packs for themselves, right?  I’m uh, picking this up for my sister / cousin / friend (me).

Sample: Nivea In-shower Body Milk

I’ve recently been receiving samples of the Nivea In-shower Body Milk enclosed in magazines.  I’ve never tried an in-shower moisturizer before, so I decided to give them a try.  The packages come with $1.50 off coupons so I figured that if liked the product, I could redeem the coupons before they expire (I am cursed with coupons, I always only remember about them the day after they expire! Anyone else?)

I went to Sephora with the intention of picking up my “free” birthday present. And maybe if they had the Surratt Relevée Lash Curler, I would pick it up, cause, you know:
