I initially felt that my steam dwindled a bit toward the end of the year to finish up products but once I started to list them out, I found that I did finish quite a few items in the last 2 months.Ā I decided to do a big post instead of separating into 2 posts, so grab a cup of hot tea. ā

This post idea came up last year when I posted my yearly favourite discoveries.Ā I did discover some gems in 2017 but I thought it would be more useful for me to list out all my Holy Grail (HG) items instead.

You guys, I have 3 months’ worth of Trash Stash to share with you! I wanted to post this last week but we were in the middle of refurnishing our place and we didn’t even have dinning room table / chairs or a couch. But there’s no excuse that I left this for 3 months… I have no one to blame but myself! š³
I understand if you may want to go for a coffee break while reading this post. I’d just be happy if you read the beginning and the ending like I used to do with each chapter of Harlequin Romance novels! š I’ve broken my Trash Stash into 2 posts to reduce the length – here goes:
Since I skipped June’s Trash Stash, I’m breaking up this post into 2 parts instead of overwhelming you with a monster post. š Here’s about half of what I used up in the past 2 months:
The first part will be solely focused on skincare and sample / travel sizes, and part 2 will be on the remaining beauty products.
This is my first quarterly favourites post for 2017. I’ve been taking down notes on various items that I’ve enjoyed between January and March:
I try to have a balance of items but it looks like this is more heavy on the makeup front. š
It’s always a mad race at the end of the month to have all my trash presented nicely and the give their final photograph before they’re tossed out! XD
I’m a bit nervous about whether I hit my target of one per day quota… 
I was going to make this post a “journey of discovery” and keep it a mystery on whether the MUJI is a dupe or not for the Shiseido, but I’m just going to come out and tell you that YES, the MUJI Cut Cotton in WHITE is indeed a viable DUPE to the cult favourite – and pricey – Shiseido Facial Cotton.
I’ve been using both MUJI and Shiseido cottons interchangeably for the past month to get a true sense of how similar or dissimilar they are to each other.
And here it is – as you can imagine, trying to narrow down the best items was difficult! These items are new toĀ me but may not be new launches in 2016. Ā Also, these items may not necessarily be my absolute “Holy Grail” of all time – they’re simply the bestĀ from the past year (I probably should do aĀ “Holy Grail of All Time” post one of these days…) Ā Here’s what made it into myĀ Best of 2016 Discoveries list:
A departure from previous years, instead of doing Top 10 or “Top xxĀ of 20xx” (ie. Top 16 of 2016), I’ll list top items within categories: makeup, skincare, nails, body care etc. Ā This post is long but rather thanĀ breaking into several posts, I decided to do it all in one – I just hate it when they break movies into 2 parts – I don’t want to do that to you! š
This is not my “best of” list for 2016 yet – it’s simply my final quarterly favourites for the year. I’ll be posting my full favourites list for 2016 in January!Ā Here’s what I’ve been enjoying fromĀ October to December:
