I received this from the lovely Polished and Inspired when we met up in May! Thank you again for this polish, it’s so “me”! 😀
With the summer days winding down, I thought this was a nice summery shade to wear before the heat died down!

May & June 2016 Low-Buy Accountability
Since I skipped May’s accountability post, I’m lumping both months together. Let’s recap, in April, I was able to carry over $122.48. My combined budget for May and June was $100. So in total, I had $222.48 to play with. Let’s see how I did. First, let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way, I hauled BIG time in Japan:
But in the rule books of Low-Buys, out of country purchases do not count. I didn’t create the rules, I just follow them, mkay? 😉 But I did a lot of shopping at home too, especially prior to my trip…
Winners Finds – May 2016
I’m really back-logged with my posts as you can see, as this was meant to be posted before I left for vacation, but I didn’t have time to take photos. Ah well, better late than never! 😉
So I wasn’t really planning on doing much makeup shopping before my trip but I’ve been finding some AMAZING stuff at Winners! I just couldn’t NOT buy this stuff:
Burberry! Armani! Nars! Paul & Joe! Nail polishes from the newest collections! I couldn’t even fit everything into the frame. 😀 I’ll start off with the craziest (aka the best!) things:
Blogger Meetup Weekend! (and Haul)
Just a few months ago, I’d never met another blogger but then I met fivezero! 😁 And just this past weekend, I met THREE more bloggers! I met Jodi of A Brash Attitude and Cat of MyLipAddiction, and then Polished and Inspired!!! 😮 And of course, we did some makeup shopping! 😛 Here’s my collective haul:
Nothing is more fun than shopping for makeup with other makeup addicts! 😀
Untrieds: Zoya Zara
I purchased this during the Zoya Free 4 You sale back in January, where you selected 4 polishes of your choice for free and just pay for shipping and handling. A couple of weeks ago, I finally wore the first of the 4 – the shade Zara.
This was a somewhat significant event since I had mostly gotten rid of all my Zoya nail polishes and had not worn a Zoya for years. I found that in general, Zoya polishes didn’t last as long on me, they would chip really badly and on some occasion, peel off in sheets. With this great deal, I decided it was time to give Zoyas another try since they offer some fairly unique colours.
Collective Nail Polish Acquisitions
As you’ve seen in yesterday’s post, I’ve been hitting up all the Winners and Marshalls within a 10km radius of my home last month. I also visited my favourite salon supply shop that sells polishes for cheap – they still had the Essie buy 4 get 2 free offer, and it was extended to the China Glaze polishes too! And I also found someone who sells Avon so I had to get some polishes – it’s been years since I’ve bought Avon polishes (they’re great quality). So I somehow ended up with more polishes…
There’s no feeling in the world like hauling a whole whack of nail polishes! If that’s wrong, then I don’t want to be right! 😛 (These do not include the nail polish hauls already posted here and here and here and here.) Brace yourselves…
Zoya Free 4 You sale
I caught wind of this deal through fivezero, who regularly features nail polish deals on her blog. For the past year I have not been able to partake in the sales but not anymore! This Zoya nail polish deal was too good to pass up – it’s for 4 free nail polishes, and the only cost is for shipping!
I just placed an order for the following:
Pasha – soft, pale, taupe-kissed beige nude with silver frost and the barest hint of silver microglitter. (swatch image from here)
