Blogmas 2016: Holiday Mani – OPI Red Fingers & Mistletoes

I went fairly standard this year for my Christmas mani – a shimmery red polish. That’s normally what I think of when I think of the holidays!  I chose this one partly because of the name, Red Fingers & Mistletoes:
This was part of the 2014 OPI Holiday collection collaboration with Gwen Stefani, which I got earlier this year at a discounted price.

OPI Red Fingers & Mistletoes is a rich slightly cool-toned red with red and gold shimmer.
The formula is decent – it’s pretty fluid for a shimmer, I was expecting it to be thicker.
So I did experience some of the polish pooling at the sides of my nails which required clean up. Other than that, I had no other issues.
This is definitely not a one coater, but 2 coats does the job.
I received compliments on this manicure – it’s really eye catching especially since I don’t wear colours like this too often.
And the random – not so random – item is this box of Holiday cookies that I received from Connie when we met up last weekend! She was so sweet to bring everyone a box of cookies – including me, someone she’s never met before!
Most of these cookies are technically more chocolate than cookie… 😆
This box is about half gone now – my SO loves them too! ❤

  1. Great choice for your holiday mani! I wanted to do a sparkly red shade for Christmas too, but then I realized I no longer own one 😭
I love those types of cookies you get around Christmas that are more chocolate than cookie, lol! Those ones look so yummy!

    1. Oh no! How can you not have a shimmery red polish?! That’s a travesty! You need one, pronto!
Those cookies chocolates are so decadent. I didn’t think I’d love them as much as I do…

      1. Not yet. I bought a Silver shade from MAC so I planned on painting them later. I was having some sort of “issue” where I kept chewing the cuticles (so disgusting of me) so I was too ashamed to paint them. I’m finally over whatever possessed me to that for 2 weeks and tonight I’ll take the time to paint them. =)
