China Glaze Shades of Nude Collection

It’s been a while since I’ve done a nail post! Today I’m showcasing a collection that was released for Spring this year, but I personally think a good nude collection is season-less. 😀 I’ve got 3 of the China Glaze Shades of Nude Collection to show:

• Minimalist Momma (sand beige creme)
• Fresher Than My Clique (mushroom taupe creme)
• Kill The Lights (deep mauve creme)

I received these China Glaze polishes from Nail Polish Canada (NPC) to review.

How I Do My Manicures

I realized recently that I’ve never discussed how I do my manicures so it’s time to remedy that.

I’ll discuss the steps I take to prep my nails and show the tools that I use.

Sinful Color Kylie Jenner Collection in Karamel

This polish was part of the original launch of the Kylie Jenner and Sinful Color collaboration, back in March 2016. The official name of the collection was called King Kylie Collection:

I’m not a fan of the Kardashian / Jenner clan, but when a colour calls out to me, I set aside my personal differences. 😛

Born Pretty Newbie Nail Stamping Haul

Yes you read it correctly, it’s a HAUL. But I’m in a No-Buy month…

…these were ordered back in January and only arrived recently! 😮  Remember I mentioned in my “Last Hauluary” post that I was expecting 2 more parcels in the mail? One was the HauteLook TheBalm order, and the other one was this! 😉

CoverGirl Being Blonde

Finally, a mani on a Monday. An actual Mani Monday! 😛

This is the nail polish that was one of my favourite nail polish discoveries of 2016 and I even made the bold claim that it’s the best formula I’ve tried all year – it is: CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in #95 Being Blonde.

OPI Dim Sum Plum

Happy International Women’s Day! 😀 What better way to celebrate Women’s Day than talking about pretty nail polish, right? 😉 But on a serious and personal note: I’m involved in a Women in Business network at work that meets regularly – recently I was privileged enough to meet women from across various industries. It was a powerful gathering of strong women who empower each other to be their best every day and help others rise up. It reminds me that women don’t always need to compete with each other, let’s work together and hold each other up. 🙂

Now, back to the nail polish – this is OPI Dim Sum Plum:

I picked this up during my manic polish shopping in January last year when I came off my year-long No-Buy. I got this polish for only $4 during a salon’s clearance sale.

February 2017 No-Buy-Low-Buy Accountability

February is a No-Buy month for me! I mentioned in my January accountability post that if all goes well this month, I’d have nothing to show. Well, February went well but I do have 3 things to show:

I didn’t buy any of these items myself, I swear! 😇

Nicole by OPI in Sing You Like a Bee

This manicure was actually worn last year around October but I had to hold off on posting it because my choice of the “random item” was a gift to my sister and I had not seen her yet to give it to her! 😛

Now I can finally post it without spoiling the surprise! 😉 So consider this a throwback Thursday post!

Blogmas 2016: Holiday Mani – OPI Red Fingers & Mistletoes

I went fairly standard this year for my Christmas mani – a shimmery red polish. That’s normally what I think of when I think of the holidays!  I chose this one partly because of the name, Red Fingers & Mistletoes:

This was part of the 2014 OPI Holiday collection collaboration with Gwen Stefani, which I got earlier this year at a discounted price.
