My top 3 recommendations: 1) Bourjois’ Rouge Edition Velvets. I have Frambourjoise and it’s a lovely raspberry red! 2) Rimmel nail polish in Besitval Blue. It’s such a pretty cornflower blue and the formula is great. 3) Maybelline’s Dr Rescue top coat, it’s so inexpensive but the quality is awesome.

You should totally come to New Zealand on vacation! Not because I live here and I’m biased or anything 😛

I’ve been wanting to try Bourjois lipsticks – I had a lip gloss before and I really liked it. And I’ve heard other people mention the Maybelline top coat but I can’t seem to find it here – I bet it’s not available in North America!
Yes, I’d love to come to NZ! It’s on my bucket list. I’d have to come visit for at least 3 weeks though since I’ll be flying such long distance. 🙂
Thanks for the recs and GOOD LUCK!

Do they sell Maybelline in North America or just not that product? I’m sure the flights and long distance will be worth it 😉

My top 3 recommendation would be;
1. Nature’s Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Mist (I LOVE this stuff; do beware of the counterfeit stuff when ordering online because they look alarmingly similar but contain ingredients that may actually harm the skin).
2. Breena Beauty Eye Essential makeup brushes (Malaysian product, brainchild of a beauty blogger, made in Malaysia and they’re good affordable makeup brushes! I do believe international shipping is pretty steep but I am just putting this out there).
3.If you could get your hands on Catrice, do try out their blush and lip products! I am talking about the Blush Artist Shading Palette but they have pretty bomb lip products too.
Hey, you know it’s coming! ASIA!!! Come to ASIA! Come to Southeast Asia! I wouldn’t say Malaysia (but I live here so it’s kinda boring to me) however, my friends are all raving about Bali! SO Bali! That’s my vacation suggestion!

My top three beauty products this year have been:
Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation- it has incredible coverage with such a natural finish and lasts all day!
Tarte Amazonian Clay blush- in Royal on my no makeup makeup days and vibrant when I want more of a pop. They last ALL DAY LONG
Coty Airspun Powder- it gives my skin an airbrushed finish and keeps me matte all day.
Bonus 4th product because I can’t help myself:
Wet N Wild Highlight “palette” in Boozy Brunch- it suits any makeup look and any skin tone. It reminds me of Champagne Pop in that it’s both champagne and peachy.
My vacation recommendation is Jacksonville Beach, Florida if you’re looking for somewhere sleepy where you can just relax. It’s also very close to Saint Augustine which is very rich in history if that’s something you’re interested in.

LMAO I just looked up 789 Superstitious – it is straight up PURPLE! 😆 XD Nope, can’t do it! But I will check out the lipstick. I feel like I’m popping my cherries one at the time. First YSL, then possibly Chanel and then maybe Dior? I don’t think I’ll ever venture into Tom Ford territory.

I am not a Chanel makeup fan. YSL I gave them a try. Tom Ford is not for me? Not just the price, but I don’t feel that they offer something so unique / high up on the quality. Their eye palette packaging screams Lunasol (JP)? Plus, Lunasol eye palette are way hard to beat. It could be just the psycho in me.

LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh yes, IG mini review is totally fine! Does it eradicate freckles forever OR is the effect temporary?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Good question, I don’t know if it will be forever. But even after laser (many years ago), my freckles came back with a vengence. I doubt that talika is a permanent solution. It has definitely dispersed my big freckle and reduce the darkness of my spots. It was pretty obvious at 6 weeks point. To a point where if I use a full coverage foundation like MJ remarcable or a buildable medium/full Bourjois healthy mix, I no longer need to use concealer for most of my freckles. So I’m LOVING this machine.

You’re welcome! Awww that’s too bad. How can you tell if a product breaks you out? Do you suddenly get acne after using it? I have some acne issues but I’m pretty sure it’s stress-induced or from sleeping on my side/belly (since my face is touching the pillow and such). Let me know where your next travel destination is! 😀

I can tell if a product breaks me out because I don’t tend to switch up my skincare / foundations too much. And if I try a new product, that’s the ONLY new item I introduce to my regimen so I can pinpoint exactly if that’s the culprit. Also, another indicator is when I breakout in abnormal places like my cheeks and forehead rather than my normal hormonal breakout around like my chin. I’m a back sleeper so I don’t experience too much issue with breaking out in that regard.

I’m unsure about the GlamGlow masks – they seem harsh!
Oooh Singapore has been on my travel wish list for years. My SO has already gone so we will visit other places before we go back to places that either of us already been. I’ve been to Dubai (very short visit though). Brazil is interesting to me too but not sure if SO would like to go! I will ask him hehe!

I love the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in the blue cap, it’s medium to full coverage if you build it up. The longer is sits on your skin, the better it looks. I also like the red cap but thats more full coverage and that is also a matte finish which is great! I know a lot of peeps find Glamglow strong but I guess thats what my face needed to prevent the breakouts from coming back.. hehe And yeah! I have a lot of friends in Singapore and Dubai and they all told me great stories about the place. Brazil has been on my wishlist too after Japan. But, wherever you and your SO decides to go, Im sure it’s going to be an amazing one! It’s the quality time and memories shared is whats important! And yes!! Thank you. Good luck to everyone who entered.😘😍

Favourites of 2016:
1. Swedish LA Bruket lavender body oil – its a hippster eco brand making lovely stuff, this spray on body oil is amazing.
2. kiehls smoothing oil infused concentrate – awesome for dry hair and smells heavenly
3. dove dermaspa goodness body lotion – my budget product of the year – smells great and makes my skin silky smooth.
Vacation tips:
1. mexico: go to mexico city for a great cultural experience, visit the frida kahlo museum and then head to tulum (not cancun or any other of the touristic cities) but straight to tulum and the ahau hotel, its pricey but soo worth it.
2. guadaloupe – very nice french island in the Caribbean, dont miss marie galante – which is a pretty deserted island nearby, and then take a boat to Dominica and hike in the jungles.
3. cuba – i think one should hurry to go before tourism changes the country forever.

I’m not sure what kind of vacations you normally take, but I know I really want to go to Bermuda this year!

I have that Bourjois eye shadow in #08 Beige Rose! I use it as inner corner highlighter a lot. I picked it up after seeing someone on YouTube talk about it – really beautiful!
We like a variety of vacations – probably our preference are city type of trips since we like to walk around and take in cultural things. Bermuda sounds very relaxing!
Thank you for all of your recs and good luck in the giveaway!

Sweet giveaway. 🙂
My top 3 were 1) Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream 2) Baby Lips – Maybelline and 3) Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Liq Lipcolour – ICON.
Travel recommendations are Thailand and Curacao (Dutch island in the Caribbean) – I have not been to Curacao but recently found out about it and it sounds a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

Well hello there! 😉
I will have to try the Sukin night cream – I’m so glad you like it! That line is really good. What, you like matte lipsticks? I can’t handle it! 😛
I want to go to Thailand but el SO has been. Isn’t Curacao a liqueur? XD I had it in a drink called Purple Rain a couple of weeks ago, and it turned my tongue BLUE.
Thank you for the recommendations and GOOD LUCK!!!

Awwww that’s always a bummer when your SO has been to so many places 😦 Mine’s passport is almost full and I’m still on the 3rd page…only in Africa.

Hi Adele! Thanks for your top 3 recs! I haven’t tried a Clinique foundation in years. It was my “gateway” makeup brand when I first started to dabble in department store brands when I outgrew drugstore stuff. Maybe I should give Clinique foundations another look.
Good luck in the giveaway!

I almost missed it! This is such a generous giveaway. I love that you’re doing thing that YOU actually love as well. I know I’m supposed to suggest 3 things, but would say the Modern Renaissance palette is my top recommendation. I love it so much it’s worth 3 suggestions, haha. As for places for you to visit, I think you’ve been everywhere, lol. But some top places for me are Italy, Sweden, Columbia, Ireland and you already went to Japan so there is that.

I feel like by giving away things I love, it’s like spreading the love. I was quite pleased that last year when I gave away some other products I loved, the recipients in turn named them as their favourites. It was like validation! 😛
Wow, I’m surprised to hear that you picked the ABH Modern Renaissance palette as your top rec! I still don’t know how I feel about all those ABH palettes. I did pick up a few of their singles to put into their customizable empty palette so I will give them a go. Well, that palette can count as 3 since it contains a bunch of shade, right? XD
Out of your places to visit, I’ve been to Sweden, Italy and Ireland. I’m not sure about Columbia – I still have reservations about going to South America. I’d rather know someone there… 😛
Good luck in the giveaway! ❤

I’ve tried 3 of the ABH LE palettes and wasn’t a huge fan. I’ve never tried the singles though. I compared the ingredients of the Modern Renaissance and it’s not the same as the LE ones I’ve tried so maybe it will be a new experience for you!? I just placed an order with Colourpop for some of their singles 😀 AND Makeup Geek! I can’t wait!

I found Elizabeth Grants products and luv them. The vitamin C line is terrific. Her fragrance Summer was my go to during last years warm weather. This is skincare worth checking out.

Amazing giveaway! My favourites of 2016 were the Essence Prettifying Lip Oil, The Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel, and the Anastasia Moon Child Glow Kit. We’re hoping to go to Nice in France this year – bit far for you though! 😉 Prague and Budapest are both beautiful I went a couple of years ago!

I’ve not seen the Essence lip oils around here yet but I’ll definitely try it once I see it. Ooh yes, the Anastasia Moon Child Glow Kit is stunning. I’ve pawed at it from time to time at Sephora.
I’d love to go to Prague and Budapest! My SO has been to Prague but not Budapest, and I’ve been to neither! It’s always a challenge when trying to compromise. 😛
Thanks for the recs! Good luck in the giveaway!

I think Essence are a bit strange in that they don’t release all their products in all the countries 😂 that’s the only glow kit I own! I wasn’t about to drop a load of money on highlighters unless they were super special colours, y’know?
Have fun choosing where to go on holiday 😊
