1: I follow you on all of your social media! 😀
2: If you haven’t been to the Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper area in Alberta it is so breathtakingly beautiful AND you don’t have to deal with our dollar being crappy if you leave the country! Just one look at Moraine Lake is worth it ❤️

Also, apparently Bunnelby is super excited for your giveaway, as I was writing all of this she started running around her kennel doing ‘binkies’ 😂

Thanks for the recommendations! I thought I followed your blog but it seems like I don’t. I’ve remedied that now. Off to read your 2016 favourites.
I’ve tried the Annabelle mascara – it’s quite good but I found it a bit clumpy.
We visited Cuba a few years ago – it was very interesting, I really enjoyed the day trip to Havana.
Good luck in the giveaway! 🙂

  10. I’ve followed you on all the social medias listed and here on WordPress. You know me Stashy, you know me! 😛
    My top 3 recommendation would be;
    1. Nature’s Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Mist (I LOVE this stuff; do beware of the counterfeit stuff when ordering online because they look alarmingly similar but contain ingredients that may actually harm the skin).
    2. Breena Beauty Eye Essential makeup brushes (Malaysian product, brainchild of a beauty blogger, made in Malaysia and they’re good affordable makeup brushes! I do believe international shipping is pretty steep but I am just putting this out there).
3.If you could get your hands on Catrice, do try out their blush and lip products! I am talking about the Blush Artist Shading Palette but they have pretty bomb lip products too.

Hey, you know it’s coming! ASIA!!! Come to ASIA! Come to Southeast Asia! I wouldn’t say Malaysia (but I live here so it’s kinda boring to me) however, my friends are all raving about Bali! SO Bali! That’s my vacation suggestion!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Yes I KNOW you Harivain! 😀 XD
I’ve not tried any of the items you listed in your recommendations. I love learning about new brands / products! I definitely want to try more Catrice in the future. I saw that you really liked their blush. 🙂
I was just having a conversation this weekend with friends about travels and the idea of going to Asia came up. There are so many places I haven’t been like Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand MALAYSIA, etc etc! Personally, I want to go to Singapore so badly. It looks like such a neat place. 😛
Thanks for all the recs and GOOD LUCK in the giveaway!

  11. My top three beauty products this year have been:
Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation- it has incredible coverage with such a natural finish and lasts all day!
Tarte Amazonian Clay blush- in Royal on my no makeup makeup days and vibrant when I want more of a pop. They last ALL DAY LONG
Coty Airspun Powder- it gives my skin an airbrushed finish and keeps me matte all day.
Bonus 4th product because I can’t help myself:
Wet N Wild Highlight “palette” in Boozy Brunch- it suits any makeup look and any skin tone. It reminds me of Champagne Pop in that it’s both champagne and peachy.

My vacation recommendation is Jacksonville Beach, Florida if you’re looking for somewhere sleepy where you can just relax. It’s also very close to Saint Augustine which is very rich in history if that’s something you’re interested in.

    1. Hello! 🙂 I just went over to your blog to get caught up. Sorry I missed those couple of posts. I left you comments. ❤
You have me lemming that Coty Airspun Powder all the time. I can get it online only though. Does it come in different colours of is it just a universal translucent shade?
I've not heard of Jacksonville Beach, Florida! Thank you for introducing me to it. It does look like a lovely sleepy place!
Thank you for all the recommendations and good luck in the giveaway! 😀

    – ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadow in So Quiche
    – Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina EDP

And vacation-wise, how about the Grand Canyon? I have only been there once, as a kid, but it was totally breathtaking.

    1. Ooooh all those recs! Never heard of those – I love the randomness of it! 😀 I shall keep my eyes open for them esp that Ferragamo perfume (I just looked it up and the key scent is PANOCOTTO?!! 😮 )

I’ve always been curious about the Grand Canyon. SO fears that I’ll fall in! XD
Thanks for entering and GOOD LUCK! 😀

      1. Yes, Signorina is soooo yummy! Oh the Grand Canyon is very safe. Just don’t ride the burros down the canyon. It’s narrow enough, but they like to walk right on the edge of the cliff. NOPE NOPE NOPE, said 8-yr-old me.

I haven’t liked any matte lipsticks that I’ve tried! I much prefer a bit of “slip” to all my lip products. I’d rather reapply than to have dried out looking lips that ages me horribly.

              Liked by 1 person

              1. You have to give the rouge dior a try. For additional fierceness, I highly recommend that you try #789 superstitious 😀 *I don’t know what the problem is with my reply using WP, but a chunk of my reply was actually missing, that’s why the sentence was hanging weird. Ops.

                Liked by 1 person

                1. LMAO I just looked up 789 Superstitious – it is straight up PURPLE! 😆 XD Nope, can’t do it! But I will check out the lipstick. I feel like I’m popping my cherries one at the time. First YSL, then possibly Chanel and then maybe Dior? I don’t think I’ll ever venture into Tom Ford territory.

                  Liked by 1 person

                  1. I am not a Chanel makeup fan. YSL I gave them a try. Tom Ford is not for me? Not just the price, but I don’t feel that they offer something so unique / high up on the quality. Their eye palette packaging screams Lunasol (JP)? Plus, Lunasol eye palette are way hard to beat. It could be just the psycho in me.

              1. Wahahah yes, you’re working me 😦 *LOL*

I love the Talika, but I don’t know how to fit the review thing on my travel blog *LOL* Is IG mini-review acceptable? 😛 I can see visible results for my freckle. I recommended it to all my friends already.

                Liked by 1 person

                  1. Good question, I don’t know if it will be forever. But even after laser (many years ago), my freckles came back with a vengence. I doubt that talika is a permanent solution. It has definitely dispersed my big freckle and reduce the darkness of my spots. It was pretty obvious at 6 weeks point. To a point where if I use a full coverage foundation like MJ remarcable or a buildable medium/full Bourjois healthy mix, I no longer need to use concealer for most of my freckles. So I’m LOVING this machine.

  15. Happy blogiversary! I’ve recently started doing the blogiversary giveaway too. I really like the ‘my favorite things’ idea. It’s more personal.

My 3 favorites… ABH Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette, TBS Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask (or any of their masks really, they’re great!), and probably the new WnW liquid lipsticks. I just really feel that they stepped up their game and gave the people some decent budget friendly liquid lipsticks.

I also follow you on all social media. 🙂

    Thanks for the opportunity!

I just picked up 2 of the TBS masks not long ago – the Himaylayn Charcoal one and the British Rose one! Can’t wait to use them.

My favorite products would have to be
1-Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation – it makes my skin look so even and doesn’t give you comic book face!
2- Micro Beauty Blender – great for blending out under eye concealer and ‘baking’ under eye area
3-Becca Under Eye Corrector – I think this is one of your favs as well!

  17. Happy blogiversary~! ❤ This is an amazing giveaway! Here are my favorite products from 2016:
-Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream (this BB cream blends easily and feels like tinted moisturizer! Love how light yet effective it is. I've been using this for photoshoots)
-Anna Sui Glittering Lip Gloss (literally the only lip gloss I've discovered that I like… but it's also the most expensive lip gloss I've ever tried XD;;)
-Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray (it's super cheap since I got it from Walmart but it works SO WELL and I love it)

As for vacations… You should visit Geneva, Switzerland if you haven't done so yet! I studied there for half a year and it's my favorite city/favorite place.

    Like

    1. Thanks so much for your recommendation list! I have tried the Missha BB cream but sadly, it broke me out! 😦 I will have to look for the Hard Candy makeup spray – I haven’t heard about it, and yes, it’s such an inexpensive brand.

Oooh Switzerland is on our list of places to visit. My friends just went last year and she loved it there. That’s so neat you studied there!

      Like

      1. You’re welcome! Awww that’s too bad. How can you tell if a product breaks you out? Do you suddenly get acne after using it? I have some acne issues but I’m pretty sure it’s stress-induced or from sleeping on my side/belly (since my face is touching the pillow and such). Let me know where your next travel destination is! 😀

        Liked by 1 person

        1. I can tell if a product breaks me out because I don’t tend to switch up my skincare / foundations too much. And if I try a new product, that’s the ONLY new item I introduce to my regimen so I can pinpoint exactly if that’s the culprit. Also, another indicator is when I breakout in abnormal places like my cheeks and forehead rather than my normal hormonal breakout around like my chin. I’m a back sleeper so I don’t experience too much issue with breaking out in that regard.

  18. Great products!!!! Love it.. and oh.. top 3??? Hhmm.. Rimmel London Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me concealer and GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate mask. 👍🏻😍 (where to go? Brazil?Singapore or Dubai?😜)

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Which Rimmel foundation did you like? I tried a sample last year (one of those foil packs that comes in magazines LOL) and I was surprised that I really liked it! It was a long wearing one, Stay Matte.
I’m unsure about the GlamGlow masks – they seem harsh!
Oooh Singapore has been on my travel wish list for years. My SO has already gone so we will visit other places before we go back to places that either of us already been. I’ve been to Dubai (very short visit though). Brazil is interesting to me too but not sure if SO would like to go! I will ask him hehe!
Thanks for all the recommendations and GOOD LUCK!

      1. I love the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in the blue cap, it’s medium to full coverage if you build it up. The longer is sits on your skin, the better it looks. I also like the red cap but thats more full coverage and that is also a matte finish which is great! I know a lot of peeps find Glamglow strong but I guess thats what my face needed to prevent the breakouts from coming back.. hehe And yeah! I have a lot of friends in Singapore and Dubai and they all told me great stories about the place. Brazil has been on my wishlist too after Japan. But, wherever you and your SO decides to go, Im sure it’s going to be an amazing one! It’s the quality time and memories shared is whats important! And yes!! Thank you. Good luck to everyone who entered.😘😍

    Favourites of 2016:
    1. Swedish LA Bruket lavender body oil – its a hippster eco brand making lovely stuff, this spray on body oil is amazing.
    2. kiehls smoothing oil infused concentrate – awesome for dry hair and smells heavenly
    3. dove dermaspa goodness body lotion – my budget product of the year – smells great and makes my skin silky smooth.

    Vacation tips:
    1. mexico: go to mexico city for a great cultural experience, visit the frida kahlo museum and then head to tulum (not cancun or any other of the touristic cities) but straight to tulum and the ahau hotel, its pricey but soo worth it.
    2. guadaloupe – very nice french island in the Caribbean, dont miss marie galante – which is a pretty deserted island nearby, and then take a boat to Dominica and hike in the jungles.
    3. cuba – i think one should hurry to go before tourism changes the country forever.

Looking forward to hearing of where you will chose for your holiday:)

    1. Why am I not surprised that you recommended mostly The Body Shop products! XD I already got both of those masks, in part due to you! I can’t wait to try them – I’m hoping to give the Sleeping Mask a try soon.
I’ve been to Estonia! Tallinn, to be specific. It is BEAUTIFUL! ❤
Thank you for your recs and good luck in the giveaway!

  23. My favourite beauty products of 2016 are:
    1. Bourgeois Paris baked eyeshadow in the shade 08 (I use it as a subtle cheek highlight and it’s amazing!)
    2. ColourPop ultra satin lip in the shade London Fog
    3. Canvas Laquer “Electric Koolaid” nail polish

I’m not sure what kind of vacations you normally take, but I know I really want to go to Bermuda this year!

    1. I have that Bourjois eye shadow in #08 Beige Rose! I use it as inner corner highlighter a lot. I picked it up after seeing someone on YouTube talk about it – really beautiful!
We like a variety of vacations – probably our preference are city type of trips since we like to walk around and take in cultural things. Bermuda sounds very relaxing!
Thank you for all of your recs and good luck in the giveaway!

My top 3 were 1) Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream 2) Baby Lips – Maybelline and 3) Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Liq Lipcolour – ICON.
Travel recommendations are Thailand and Curacao (Dutch island in the Caribbean) – I have not been to Curacao but recently found out about it and it sounds a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

    1. Well hello there! 😉
I will have to try the Sukin night cream – I’m so glad you like it! That line is really good. What, you like matte lipsticks? I can’t handle it! 😛
I want to go to Thailand but el SO has been. Isn’t Curacao a liqueur? XD I had it in a drink called Purple Rain a couple of weeks ago, and it turned my tongue BLUE.
Thank you for the recommendations and GOOD LUCK!!!

    1. Hello all the way to South Africa! 😀 Thank you for all the recs! I haven’t tried Elizabeth Arden Capsules but they seem like really high potency products that work. I hope to try one day.
Good luck in the giveaway! 🙂

    1. Hi Adele! Thanks for your top 3 recs! I haven’t tried a Clinique foundation in years. It was my “gateway” makeup brand when I first started to dabble in department store brands when I outgrew drugstore stuff. Maybe I should give Clinique foundations another look.
      Good luck in the giveaway!

  26. I almost missed it! This is such a generous giveaway. I love that you’re doing thing that YOU actually love as well. I know I’m supposed to suggest 3 things, but would say the Modern Renaissance palette is my top recommendation. I love it so much it’s worth 3 suggestions, haha. As for places for you to visit, I think you’ve been everywhere, lol. But some top places for me are Italy, Sweden, Columbia, Ireland and you already went to Japan so there is that.

    1. I feel like by giving away things I love, it’s like spreading the love. I was quite pleased that last year when I gave away some other products I loved, the recipients in turn named them as their favourites. It was like validation! 😛
Wow, I’m surprised to hear that you picked the ABH Modern Renaissance palette as your top rec! I still don’t know how I feel about all those ABH palettes. I did pick up a few of their singles to put into their customizable empty palette so I will give them a go. Well, that palette can count as 3 since it contains a bunch of shade, right? XD
Out of your places to visit, I’ve been to Sweden, Italy and Ireland. I’m not sure about Columbia – I still have reservations about going to South America. I’d rather know someone there… 😛
Good luck in the giveaway! ❤

      1. I’ve tried 3 of the ABH LE palettes and wasn’t a huge fan. I’ve never tried the singles though. I compared the ingredients of the Modern Renaissance and it’s not the same as the LE ones I’ve tried so maybe it will be a new experience for you!? I just placed an order with Colourpop for some of their singles 😀 AND Makeup Geek! I can’t wait!

  29. Amazing giveaway! My favourites of 2016 were the Essence Prettifying Lip Oil, The Body Shop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel, and the Anastasia Moon Child Glow Kit. We’re hoping to go to Nice in France this year – bit far for you though! 😉 Prague and Budapest are both beautiful I went a couple of years ago!

    1. I’ve not seen the Essence lip oils around here yet but I’ll definitely try it once I see it. Ooh yes, the Anastasia Moon Child Glow Kit is stunning. I’ve pawed at it from time to time at Sephora.
I’d love to go to Prague and Budapest! My SO has been to Prague but not Budapest, and I’ve been to neither! It’s always a challenge when trying to compromise. 😛
Thanks for the recs! Good luck in the giveaway!

      1. I think Essence are a bit strange in that they don’t release all their products in all the countries 😂 that’s the only glow kit I own! I wasn’t about to drop a load of money on highlighters unless they were super special colours, y’know?
Have fun choosing where to go on holiday 😊
