In reviewing my post history, I realized that I’ve never once posted an annual summary of my Lo-Buy / No-Buy accountability.

And I think I know why… because I’m a sneaky cheat! π

I know, I know. I just posted about makeup decluttering and here I am, showing stuff I’m adding to my hoard.Β Never did I once say that I wasn’t shopping anymore! (I was just making room? π ) And, I didn’t go as crazy this year with post-holiday sales.
This is called self control in my books! π
You may recall that the primary objective of this blog originally was to reduce my beauty stash. I had a three-pronged plan:
A) Stop buying more (No-Buy / Low-Buy)
B) Use up what I have (empties aka Trash Stash)
C) Get rid of items that I no longer use (Purges / declutters)
This post is focused on plan of attack C!Β I’ve been meaning to post this since early 2017 for “Spring cleaning”, but never got my act together to gather all of the items.Β No time like now, right?Β π This post will mainly consist of photos and product names listed out. It would take too long to provide a description of every single item with an explanation why it is being decluttered. Just look:
Hold onto your hats!
Gosh, you guys! I never expected to have the kind of feedback in my previous post. Thank you. Truly.Β β€Β To give you a time frame, I still have posts planned that will take us into February.Β So I’m still here.Β Let’s set all that aside for now, ok? π
Nerd alert: I’ve been looking forward to doing this summary for the past few months. This is the third (and final) year that I’ll be doing this tally:
My goal this year was to achieve one empty product per day for a minimum of 365 empty products. Let’s see how I fared.
My blog turns THREE today! π
Thank you to all of you for interacting with me online – I’ve enjoyed getting to know you better and often having a laugh or two in the comments section. β€
This past year saw some posts that I’m quite proud of, and the feedback from you have been phenomenal.Β Some highlights of my most popular posts from 2017:
Here’s a combined Trash Stash post for the last 2 months of 2017:
I initially felt that my steam dwindled a bit toward the end of the year to finish up products but once I started to list them out, I found that I did finish quite a few items in the last 2 months.Β I decided to do a big post instead of separating into 2 posts, so grab a cup of hot tea. β
Happy New Year! β€
This post idea came up last year when I posted my yearly favourite discoveries.Β I did discover some gems in 2017 but I thought it would be more useful for me to list out all my Holy Grail (HG) items instead.
I’m going to force myself to just name ONE item for each category.Β I feel like embarking on this project is like choosing a favourite child. I love you all equally! β€ Continue reading
β Happy New Year to everyone! β
Change is the only constant.
I’m looking forward to 2018. π
