Happy Halloween! I hope you get sufficiently spooked today and also eat enough candies for a nice sugar high. 😛
Today’s Project Pan item is the NYX Powder Blush in Taupe #PB11:
It was not by accident that this item is featured today – if you’re in a pinch for ghoulish looking hollowed out cheeks for a costume, perhaps a contouring shade like this could help! 😉
How is it the end of October already!?! 😮 And tomorrow is Halloween! Here’s what’s went down on the blog last week:
Project Pan: Lancôme Khol in Love eye liner in Chocolate Affair
I also compare a whole bunch of brown eye liners.
Reminder to enter! This giveaway ends tomorrow!
You probably know that I already love the MUJI skincare items that I’ve tried, so I was completely in my element at the most recent MUJI Canada Open House which was to showcase their skincare.
Similar to previous MUJI Open House sessions, it was a small intimate affair which I much prefer. 🙂 We learned about the different MUJI skincare lines with a focus on the Sensitive Skin range (my favourite!) and we all received a selection of products to try for ourselves. Here’s what we learned, and what we received.

We’re back with another chit chatty episode – just Cat and I pretending to be classy and failing miserably. This week features some skincare talk and we share spooky stories, just in time for Halloween.
And I really did almost pee my pants in this episode – partly due to the scary stories Cat was telling! But it could have something to do with the taro bubble tea I consumed just prior to recording. I have a small bladder, ok? 😛
I’m sure you’ve heard of this brand by now since it’s making the rounds on all the Canadian beauty blogs! 😉 I won’t bore you too much with the mythos of Maison Jacynthe (yes, there’s a real person behind the brand, Jacynthe René) as it’s been written about countless times recently – let’s just get into the products since that’s what I’m here for. In September, I was contacted to select some products to try out – here’s what I chose:
• Eye shadow refill pan in 11 Macchiato
• Blush refill pan in 01 Romeo
• Large Compact
Rather than choosing only makeup items, I decided to pick the refillable compact because, you know that I don’t need any more makeup! 😛
This year I decided to do quarterly favourites so I’ve had lists for early 2016 (covering January to March) and mid-year (covering April to June), and now I’m showing my third quarterly favourites to cover July to September:
It’s mostly Summery products but a little bit of Autumn is creeping in… yes, I’m a bit late in posting this – it should have been up early October. 😳
Finally, Nordstrom is open in Toronto! I was away on vacation when it officially opened but as soon as I had the chance, I went over to check out the Toronto Eaton Centre store, primarily for their beauty department!
And, I also bought a couple of items. 😉
If you listened to the most recent MyLipAddition podcast, you would have heard me ranting about doing Project Pan! 😛 I remain committed to this cause, but I have to admit, wearing the same makeup day in, day out, is really challenging when you have so many other options staring at you! 😉
Today’s review is an item that is actually discontinued:
The Lancôme Khol in Love eye liner in 101 Chocolate Affair was released as part of the Spring 2013 In Love collection, which featured lovely Emma Watson:
This was a BUSY week on the blog! If you’ve missed some posts, I don’t blame you. Here’s what happened:
PP12: The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation in 020 Bali Vanilla
Finally, one of the Project Pan items that actually shows visible signs of being used up. 🙄
