Stash Dash: My Attempt at a Weekly Round-up for Oct 9 – 15

All the cool kids are doing it these days. I think a weekly round-up post could be helpful for those of you who might not be able to browse blogs all week. My hope is to not only provide a centralized place to summarize all my posts from the past week, but provide some additional tidbits.

Project Pan 12: KATE Stick Concealer in Natural Beige

Stick concealers are notoriously challenging – here’s one that is multi-functional and it works well under the eyes too.

A cross-over post where Joyce shows how the Sleek Solstice Palette fares under the harsh conditions of the Scottish Highlands!

Project Pan 12: Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in Garance

This stunning “space coffin” tube houses one of my all time favourite MLBB shades – let’s see how much I’ve used up for Project Pan.

Nuworld Botanicals Cold-pressed Organic Sea buckthorn & Jojoba Oil

It was love at first dab with this natural face oil – I had never used a cold-press oil before, it really makes a difference.

Schtuff:
• I had my follow-up appointment with the dermatologist about my leg rash and my blood test results came back ok. My legs are healing and there haven’t been any significant recurrence (just a few hives here and there). Now I just have to monitor and deal with the aftermath: the hyperpigmentation. (it’s really unsightly – the doctor said not to worry, that they’ll fade over time :/ )

• Watched the movie The Magnificent Seven. I rate it a solid… 7, out of 10. 😛 The plot is formulaic, but the cast was good. Denzel Washington plays the same character as he did in Man on Fire and The Equalizer. Chris Pratt plays Chris Pratt. I’m still going to marry him though – look out for wedding invitations in the mail… 😆

• I recorded my second appearance on MyLipAddiction.com’s Beauty Podcast and let me tell you: this episode will be scandalous! It’s real girl talk – you may never think of Cat or myself the same way again. 😉 Stay tuned for this upcoming Thursday! (If you haven’t listened already, here’s my first appearance on Cat’s podcast)

And how was your week? 🙂

  1. Great idea doing a recap! I find with most blogs, I’ll have time to read 3/4 posts and miss the other one!
Yay, congrats on your legs getting better! Winter is coming, so your legs will be hidden away from the world and the pigmentation will have time to fade!
Looking forward to getting your wedding invitation! 😆 someone told me that Matt Bomer has a minor part in the movie (he’s my future other husband) and now I want to see it 😂
Teehee, can’t wait to hear this scandalous podcast!!

    1. I had to look up who Matt Bomer is… and yes he has part in the movie in the beginning. What does your fiance think about you marrying someone else?! 😆
It’s true, thankfully it’s coming up to winter so I’ll have at least 4 months to fade the hyperpigmentation.
I’m glad you found the recap helpful!

      1. I’m not usually one to have celebrity crushes, but my fiance already knows that if Matt Bomer was to come knocking at my door, I’d be like “fiance who?” 😂
Fingers crossed that whatever you had before doesn’t flare up again!

  3. All right – so you did a round up and you put that Guerlain lipstick in front of me again! LOL. You’re torturing me! In all seriousness, great job on pulling together a round up and a reminder that I want to try that stick concealer!! I’m into those right now!

      1. OMG. You said it. And for me. For 15 years, I’ve worked outside the home. So, my earnings are basically “fun money”. Well, Oct 1 – laid off. So, I’m home. Investing time and energy in my blog and my family and after the 1st of the year I’ll go back to work unless I can do more with my blog. But my income makes a huge difference. So, for me, it’s like “What do you mean I can buy 8 YSL lipsticks right here, right now?” I’ve had to accept that and make that adjustment but maybe in the long run it’s healthier for me. Looking for silver lining.
