Claification: NYC to Toronto is only 8 hours by car, not 13 hours! I can’t wait to go on the Maid of the Mist boat tour at Niagara Falls with HippyLip! 😆
Note: for some reason Canadians talk about distances by time (how many hours / minutes it takes to get somewhere), not in km / miles. I’ve noticed this difference in various interactions with non-Canadians and I think it’s mainly due to how spread out we are (this article explains it better than I can).

    Hmmm. I use both soda and pop to refer to those fizzy drinks that I rarely ever drink.
    I had the WORST makeover years ago at a fancy schmancy place with a friend. We both asked for simple everyday looks. Well, five million products later, holy crap we looked like painted harlots! Haha!

      1. I’m on the fence, maybe a little on line. I don’t know if I want to fight the crowds. American are not NICE when they are shopping! Of course, that doesn’t apply to me! AHAHHA But I lost my job on Oct 1 so we just have one income right now and I’m being super super conservative. I have priorities you know…. like BOTOX

        1. Yes, every Black Friday, we see videos of Americans fighting and pushing. And didn’t someone get shot and killed over a parking spot?!! OMG. Not worth it, people! This morning on the news they compared and contrast the difference between American Black Friday shoppers and Canadian ones – we’re so cordial and polite LOL. They said people in line were strategizing and helping each other to get the items they wanted.
          Oh yes, priorities: botox > food > Black Friday “deals”

  11. The memes are friggin hilarious…..literally laughing my ass off!! My daughter looked very close to that minus the blue eyeshadow and I would split a soda with you any day! if you manage to get me on the Maiden of the Mist… bring a large bucket,some anti-anxiety meds, and puffy nipples. haha. You could probably distract me if Cat comes you 2 argue like you’re married! Also, this was the first episode that I didn’t totally hate my own voice, or I’m just getting used to hearing myself blab!

    1. Hehehe! I just have the crazier mental image of what your poor lovely daughter might have looked like at the MAC counter.
      We’ll have to ply you with lots of ice wine! Have you had ice wine before? It’s a Canadian thing.
      It’s funny, I used to cringe at my own voice too but it’s become more familiar and less nails on chalkboard sounding! 😛

        Episode 17 was when I got through the whole episode without having to take a break from listening to myself and I’m still not comfortable.

  12. About packaging being no indication of what the product represents, Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks are the perfect example! Crappy packaging with an awesome product!
    We call them gaseous drinks! HAHAHA!!!
    MAC MUAs get a bad rep all over the world huh! Wow! If someone else can tell you have too much blush on, you HAVE TOO MUCH BLUSH ON!
    Oh, YouTube video editing is a nightmare! I took days to edit content down to a 5 minute video!

    1. So true about the Wet n Wild lipsticks – I’d love to do a blind test with cheap vs high end makeup.
      Gaseous drinks – yes, I’ve heard that in European counties too haha! Sounds so funny.
      I’ve had some success at MAC counters but you really need to provide clear direction to them instead of saying “do whatever you want”… because that’s just asking for TROUBLE! 😮
