Would you believe that I used to sing in the church choir? Yup. As a tween I liked to sing but I am really not that good of a singer, so over the years I sing less and less. But I do secretly still love singing to Christmas songs. I even have a special playlist full of Christmas tunes that I look forward to playing come December (there’s a local radio station that plays 100% Christmas songs from Nov 25th till Christmas!) There are so many renditions of popular Christmas songs, and I have some favourite versions to share today.

Today is another coordinated Blogmas post where we’re pulling items from our makeup collections to create a snowy makeup look.
To me, a snow themed makeup means 2 things: white and sparkly!
This isn’t just any ol’ gift ideas post – I’ll focus on gift ideas for the beauty addict – because that’s what I know best! 😛 There are 2 schools of thought on gift giving for beauty items: buy practical things that you know the person uses up and would want a replenishment. Or, buy things which perhaps are a little frivolous and the person might not buy for herself. I don’t see any issues with either of those strategies, you can even give a mix from each categories – so here are my gift ideas divided into: Sensible and Sensational. 😉
I’m not a fan of pre-packaged gift sets – I think it’s more thoughtful to pick items and package them together yourself. I’m going to keep the gift ideas capped to below $100 so it’s realistic!

Today’s post is a collaboration with 2 lovely Canadian chicks! Cat of MyLipstickAddiction and Jodi of A Brash Attitude! Cat has nicknamed us the “Brainiax”. 😛 We’re all listing our top 5 skincare now that we’re in the transitional weather of Fall / Autumn. Today’s post is a collaboration with StyledWithJoy! We both received the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer a couple of months ago. As we’re both in North America (her in the US, me in Canada), neither of us have direct access to this cult beauty item which is exclusive to shops in the UK. Luckily for us, we finally got our grubby hands on this from our respective fairy godmothers (her sister in her case, and through my lovely swapper Nicola, in my case).
