  9. Such a great giveaway Stashy! Some of my faves have been my IOPE Air Cushion compact. I’ve been living light fountain lately and really lie the dewiness of this one. One of my absolute staples is my Japonesque Lau curler. Consistently great quality. Third, I’ve been loving my Shark Sauce which is a serum that helps with hyperpigmentation. 😊

    1. Thank you for your recommendations – I’m always on the look out for good drugstore makeup! I’ll look for that Rock n Roll Nude – it sounds great and I think Rimmel makes some of the best lipsticks at the drugstore.

  12. Omg Stashy this is amazing!! Hehe was just telling you how I liked your best of 2016 a couple days ago so I’m super super excited. My 3 top favourite things from 2016 was my ABH liquid lipstick (working on a review) but holy I used that lipstick constantly in 2016, I also loved the Givenchy Live Irresistible perfume and Burberry’s Cat Lashes which gives me butterflies for lashes hehe.

    Vacation destination? If you don’t mind going far, Mauritius I grew up there for a bit and my parents are from there. Tropical and rich in different cultures. The food is also amazing. All of them have a distinct Mauritian flare.

      You know, I’d never heard of Mauritius until I saw that one of my Guerlain brushes was made there. Now I know! It looks like a gorgeous place – I’d love to explore such a lesser known destination. And yes, I’m all about trying new foods!

  14. Wowee Stashy! What a giveaway. There’s not much you haven’t tried that I have but I really love a few things from last year, the MAC Trolls beauty powder, both shades worked well on me for finishing powders, the Butter Bronzer from Physicians Formula (I can wear it all year and I love the smell) and the NYX Strobe Palette, I love all of the options.

    As for travel you should explore the East Coast of NA or the Southern States! I am yearning of seeing NY, Boston & Philly as well as some of the more martitime-ish places like Martha’s Vineyard etc.

      Oh I was SO tempted by the MAC Trolls beauty powder especially since they were on 40% clearance (I just had a peek and the shade “Play it Proper” is still available – only $13.40 now! 😮 ) And YES, I have my eyes on the Physician’s Formula butter bronzer… so many raves for that! thanks for all the recs and GOOD LUCK with the giveaway!

  15. Can you believe I’ve only tried 3 of your 2016 favourites? The juicy shaker, clarins lip oil and becca highlighter were new to me in 2016 and I love all three of them!

    If I had to narrow down my faves of 2016 (you have no idea how hard this is 😜) I’d have to say ABH’s MR palette, ABH’s Master palette and Shiseido’s Ibuki sleeping mask.

    I can’t like your post (no word press account) but I loved it on bloglovin’ 😉

    I follow you everywhere (that just sounds wrong 😂) and as to where to vacation, I have no idea! I’ve never left Canada so I have no idea where to even suggest 🙈

      Sounds like 2016 was the year of ABH! I just recently picked up 4 of their eye shadow singles to test out – I can’t wait to smear them on my lids. 😛

  16. You cost me a lot of money, woman! lol When you posted the instagram picture of the mascara (among other things), I immediately went out and picked it up. IT’S FABULOUS! There are a few other things from your favorites that I’ll be picking up. I’m excited to try them out as your recommendations haven’t let me down at all.

    As for MY fav’s from the last year… I would say Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and NYX Micro brow pencil!

  17. Wow – Amazing List of Goodies and Happy Anniversary! Hard to pick only 3 but I’d have to say for me my top three new discoveries for 2016 were Diorshow Maximizer 3D Mascara Primer, Strivectin Silver Peel Off Mask and Sleek Makeup’s Highlighter Palette in Solstice. Biggest Hugs!

My faves have to be the Morphe 35f palette (the shades are so pigmented and oh so pretty) or the 12s palette for summer, the Real techniques miracle complexion sponge and I think Charlotte Tilbury Matte lipstick in Glastonberry! You should come vacay in England 😉 although actually don’t cos the weather is rubbish haha! Go somewhere sunny like Greece! My fingers are crossed thank you for the opportunity to win these fab goodies! 😊❤

  19. Oh wow, what a lovely products! A lot of things we can’t (or only hardly) get in the Netherlands.
    My top 3 favorites of 2016 are:
    – Sleek Solstice Higlighting Palette
    – Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (bought it in 2016)
    – Catrice Glam and Doll Waterproof Mascara
    I don’t know where you live, but Italy is a great place to go. The lake of Garda is a really awesome place, but it’s very touristic. France is also a pretty country to visit!
    At last, I am following you on instagram and Facebook (I will do that now) and I’m 18 years old 🙂

    1. This is the second time in these comments that I’ve been recommended the Sleek Solstice Higlighting Palette – I really want to get my hands on it one of these days (Sleek isn’t sold here in Canada, I’d have to order online).
      I’ve only been to Venice in Italy – there’s lots more to explore! And I’ve been to Paris, France – again, lots more to explore. It’s much easier when you live in Europe… it’s a 7 hr flight for us in Canada! 😛

Vichy Teint Ideal hydrating foundation. I would recommend Arizona for a vacation it’s warm and Sedona is breathtaking. Love all your favourites!!

I went to Mexico yearly prior to the drug wars and it was my favorite place in the world but that was when we could drive wherever we wanted. 😔 I have seen Sicario……scary!!     I’m posting my 2016 favourites tomorrow and some of them are the same as yours and/or things you’ve already tried because they were recommended by you, but I would say: Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer, Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade.

    In terms of vacation, are you thinking of staying close this year or doing a bigger trip? Some of the major US cities might be fun to visit if you’ve never been, like Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas…to name a few (although Trump as president + crappy exchange rate may be deterrents for heading to the US). OR visit the West Coast of Canada!! Otherwise I’ll have to think about it more if you want a more ~*exotic*~ trip!

      This year might be a smaller affair with vacationing. We’ve been to Chicago, San Fran. I’ve talked about going to Dallas with the SO but yeah… the Trump thing makes us wary about anything in a red state. Also exchange rate is a factor! Hmm maybe more Western Canada. We’ve gone to most of Eastern Canada already – only been to Vancouver in terms of the west. Maybe we’ll head out your way! 😉

        Heh, I figured the two of you would have done those cities already since you travel so much. Yay to Western Canada! If you end up going that route, definitely check out Victoria, Kelowna, and of course Vancouver again. I’ve heard Tofino is beautiful too, but I’ve never been. And Banff and Jasper in AB! 2017 might be a particularly good time to stay in Canada since they have the free Parks Canada admission this year – so many national parks to check out!

          1. Yes, I was reading an article saying how Parks Canada is gearing up for a very busy year with lots of visitors across all of the parks. Apparently, conservationists are worried about the amount of tourists affecting the ecological systems this year :/ Anyways, would be super awesome if you guys end up visiting Banff!

    1. Yes you totally qualify. I’m fairly certain you’re not a kangaroo! 😉 I’d totally love to come to Australia. It’s a bucket list item for SURE. But I’d want to make it at least 3 weeks due to flying so far. I’m hoping I’ll get there within the next 5 years…
      I got a bunch of sleeping masks to try from Sephora – I don’t recall if the Sephora brand was part of the selection but I’ll have to check. Still haven’t tried any of the sleeping masks I got… better get on it since it’s officially winter here.

    I haven’t been following you for super long, but have you ever been to the UK? I went last summer and besides having a bunch of beautiful historic things, consider: beauty products you can’t get as easily in North America :] Also, I have to recommend visiting my home state of Oregon if you’ve never been, it’s a bit closer!

    1. I’ve had that JR Watkin’s lotion in Lemon Cream – it’s divine! Oooh Essie Poolside Service looks great – will have to keep it in mind!
      Yes I’ve been to the UK but not extensively. I’ve visited much more of Ireland and Scotland though. 🙂
      And Oregon – Portland is definitely on my top 2 American cities to visit (the other being Seattle). I could possibly hit up both! 😛

      1. Poolside Service has an AMAZING formula for an Essie, and the color is quite unique too. I was thoroughly impressed!

        Seattle is one of my favorite cities as well. It would be fun to hit it and Portland up in one trip. You could also add San Francisco if you’re up for the drive, all three cities are worth visiting!

    Anyway I guess my favorite discoveries from 2016 were the Essence Nude highlighter (the hype is totally worthy!), Bite Beauty lipsticks, specially the shade Pepper, and Lorac Pro eyeshadows (I got to try them for the first time in 2016), they are unbeatable imho!

    Have you ever been to the Caribbean? One of my most fun vacations have been to both Aruba and Curacao! I couldn’t recommend them enough!!

      I’ve heard sooooo many rave reviews of that Essence Nude highlighter – I’ve been on the lookout for weeks now and haven’t spotted it here yet. And I do have the shade Pepper from BITE Beauty but it was in their older formula – I’m interested in trying their new Amuse Bouche formula!
      Yes I’ve been to the Caribbean but a long time ago. I don’t LOVE the tropical hot weather but I would be interested in going back one day just to lay around the beach and EAT. 😉

Concealer and Highlighter, and Covergirl tru Blend Minerals loose mineral powder-light/pale. I recommend the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone Park for your next vacation. 😀

      The Benefit push up liner? Really? I’ve read nothing but horrible reviews for that! Seems gimmicky to me.
      What… I need to learn about that this Living Libations cleansing oils…. never heard of this at ALL.
      Oh yeah, Poland has been on our list for a few years. I had a Polish coworker who was always on our case to visit her homeland. Well, we visited Dubrovnik Croatia on our cruise and loved it – we definition want to go back. It’s cheap too!

      2. oh yeah… living libations is all natural from Blue Moutains. They’ve opened a store in Cali (I think that’s where the hubby is from…) You can try them out at Big Carrot but they sell mostly online. Not sure it’s for you due to the incorporation of essential oils but my skin loves them 🙂
