Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair vs Holika Holika One Solution Anti-Wrinkle

Firstly, I need to make a PSA: once again I’m in SPAM HELL. 😡 I’ve noticed that many of my comments on other blogs are disappearing which means they’re likely being flagged as spam. Please check your spam folder as shown in this post. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 system, not sure if that’s what caused it, grrrr. 👿 Onward to the post!

I didn’t originally set out to compare these two serums, but then I noticed how similar their bottles are:

Right? 😮 I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II at nights and the Holika Holika One Solution Anti-Wrinkle for days – let’s see how these two perform and compare.

Rexall Beauty Blogger Event

Last Thursday, I was invited to attend a Beauty Blogger even at Rexall located in downtown Toronto. It was to celebrate their remodeled location at Yonge and Richmond (in the heart of the Financial District in Toronto – think of it as Wall Street in NYC).  It was a lovely event and I also received some loot!

I posted a bunch of IG Stories of the event (if you’re not following me on Instagram, here is my account!) and I’ll share some of the videos here as well. 🙂

Exceptional Customer Service from Farleyco / Real Techniques

Recently something happened that really surprised me.  I received an email unexpectedly from the PR Manager from Farleyco Marketing regarding my recent post on the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. Farleyco Marketing is the Canadian distributors for Real Techniques in Canada, among other brands. She explained that they took my concerns on the sponge quality to Real Techniques and offered me a replacement of the sponge along with other Real Techniques products. I was floored! 😮

They sent me the above items – more than I expected! More on the story below…

Bésame Long Hair Finishing Powder Brush

I mentioned the Bésame Long Hair Finishing Powder Brush as one of my favourites at the end of last year. Finally, I’m posting my review of this odd looking brush:

May 2017 No-Buy-Low-Buy Accountability

After my previous month of hauling in my April Low-Buy, May was a month of resisting temptations! I did add a few items to my stash, namely, I went hairspray crazy:

I ran out of hairspray entirely and I always feel uneasy whenever I don’t even have a back-up in my stash! Here’s how the month went:

Mont Bleu Nail Tools: Glass Files, Nippers etc

Back in April, I was contacted by Mont Bleu to try out some of their nail tools. Now, you may not have heard of Mont Bleu, but I certainly have! I remember ages ago, reading raves about the brand for their amazing glass files from nail bloggers that I admired (I’m talking 4 years ago, ahem) – and thinking that one day I will try them. And now I’m finally trying them!

I received:
• Set of 3 crystal nail files “Wave Color” in “Light Rose-Tanzanite” [link]
• Dual-end glass cuticle pusher in “Pink” [link]
• Mont Bleu Cuticle Nippers [link]
• Original Foot Scraper & Callus Remover in Teal [link]

I’ve been testing these out for about a month and here are my thoughts.
