In my March accountability post, I hinted that I would likely haul from Miss A for the $1 blending sponges. And here it is!
I had never heard of Miss A until I was introduced to it by Asian Beauty Obsessed who told me about these sponges.
Yes you read it correctly, it’s a HAUL. But I’m in a No-Buy month…
…these were ordered back in January and only arrived recently! 😮 Remember I mentioned in my “Last Hauluary” post that I was expecting 2 more parcels in the mail? One was the HauteLook TheBalm order, and the other one was this! 😉
In my “final” Hauluary post, I mentioned that I was waiting for a couple more shipments – this is one of them! In mid-January, I heard about TheBalm being on HauteLook for 50% off from Kaily – I was both excited and a little bit apprehensive. I’ve contemplated for years about ordering makeup off HauteLook since they hold such amazing sales, but living in Canada often adds a whole layer of complexity – not to mention expense – when it comes to ordering from US-based sites. So how was my first HauteLook experience from a Canadian perspective?
Pretty great, actually! 😀
When I look at it all together like this, I think I got a bit carried away with makeup hauling…
But when you pick up a little bit here, a little bit there, it doesn’t seem like it’s that much! 😉 I wasn’t able to go on actual Boxing Day to shop but many of the deals are available for the whole month of January – basically when stores sell out of stuff is when the sales end! 😛
It’s the magical month known as Hauluary when I have no holds barred on shopping! I hauled so much in the past few weeks that I decided to divide my haulage into 3 posts: body care, makeup and nail polish. 😛 Today I’ll tackle the body care stuff:
This isn’t everything because I couldn’t fit it all in the frame. 😳
It didn’t help that the Bath & Body Works store near my work was closing down so they put almost the whole store on 75% off clearance. 😳
I’m going to pass these hauls as early Christmas gifts to myself because I’m not above blatantly cheating on my low-buy. 😆
I ordered the Beauty Bay items on November 24th and it finally arrived on December 16th! The Sephora haul is from the VIB coupon – for VIB Rouge, the coupon is $25 off $50 minimum spend. I wasted no time in placing my order! 😀
Happy December! Now that I’m done Project Pan, I have to be honest with you – I’ve been feeling a little stressed and lot guilty about the pile of makeup that have been waiting to be photographed, tested, and reviewed. Ever since the floodgates opened this year for makeup buying, I’ve been amassing so many new items, all the while making mental notes to review them on the blog. The entire 3 months I was doing Project Pan, I kept eyeing the ever growing pile.
So for the month of December, instead of jingle jangle ho ho ho Christmas themed posts, I’m going to play catch up on all the items I’ve been meaning to review! Here’s a sneaky peek at what will be coming up. 😛
As is the tradition, every Black Friday, I try to reason with myself to not get too excited about the deals because they’re usually not THAT great, but then it all goes out the door once I’m actually at the mall!
Can you believe that I bought all this in the span of just one hour at the mall? 😮 Have you ever seen those shopping spree prizes where kids get to run through Toys R Us and grab as many toys as possible within 5 minutes? I wish they had that for Sephora. 😆
