I was reading online flyers on Friday morning – as you do! – and I came across this:
Shiseido gift with purchase (gwp) with $43 spend! I’ve been itching to replenish some Shiseido skincare so I hopped over to the counter at Hudson’s Bay on Queen Street.
I’d never heard of Jolse until I started blogging. Then I came across the amazing Fifty Shades of Snail blog, which showcases Asian skincare. She often talks about Jolse.com and then I started noticing other blogs mentioning the site so I decided to order a few things to test it out.
Jolse is a Korean beauty site that offers free shipping and credits for every order. I got $3 credit just for signing up, which I was able to apply toward my first order. There are often sales and special kit deals featured on the site.
Today I bring you two Kiehl’s cleansing products that I’ve been using:
• Ultra Facial Cleanser
• Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner
Both of these items sat patiently in my stash to be opened for more than 18 months! I admit to forgetting about skincare items in my closet sometimes…
I blame this Nova Scotia Fisherman Xtreme Skin Care haul squarely on Dal of Little Beauty Loves! She mentioned this brand when she was on the MyLipAddiction.com Beauty Podcast, then she posted a blog post on it. Based on her rave recommendations, I had no choice but to place an order over the August long weekend:
This week I’m focusing on skincare! 🙂 I’ve got 4 Antipodes skincare products to review first – I’ve been using these for the past 6 weeks so I’ve formed solid opinions about them.
L to R:
• Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum
• Apostle Skin-Brightening & Tone-Correcting Serum (this is a sample size)
• Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream
• Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream
As you may recall, I scored the 3 full sized products at Winners back in January for C$16.99 each! It was the score of a lifetime, really. And the Apostle Serum was from a giveaway I won from Caryl Almelor! 🙂 Antipodes is an organic skincare brand from New Zealand with premium plant-based ingredients that are housed in elegant recyclable packaging.
We’ve been experiencing one of the hottest summers on record here in Toronto! Summertime skin for me, means: protection, hydration and oil control. Here are the items that I’ve been using to help my skin battle the summer heat:
I’ll do mini reviews on each of these since some of them are fairly recent acquisitions.
Technically I bought these items in June but it doesn’t contain any makeup so there was no need to include it in my low-buy accountability. I bought these items when I went to MUJI to buy the prizes for the giveaway and of course I can’t help but to pick up a few things for moi as well…
More detailed pictures and descriptions
This post is sooooo late. I posted about the Body Shop Flash Sale back on May 11th – it was a one day sale for 50% off on makeup. I bought the makeup items that same day but didn’t get around to posting it until now… only 6 weeks later! 😛 Last week I also got 2 more items as they were having 50% sale on clearance items. So in total, these are my recent Body Shop purchases:
Yup, more nail polishes, what else is new? 😆 More details on what I got…
While I tend to pack light for my makeup, I don’t skim when it comes to skincare when I travel. I am fastidious in my skincare regime and I still maintain separate products for day and night time.
This is why it’s important for me to hoard travel sizes of my favourite products when I find them! If not, I just decant them into travel size containers.
This post is actually a combo 3-in-1 review featuring 3 products:
• Saje Sensitive Elixir Calming Skin Serum – $19.95 CAD for 30ml
• Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster – $48 USD for 20ml
• Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk – $70 CAD for 30ml (mine is a 5ml sample that I received as part of a 500pt perk from Sephora – my little sample is worth $11.67!)
But, it’s mainly about the Saje Serum since I listed it in my recent favourites post.
